Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for HP 902XL Ink Cartridge (4 Pack)

As of 6/14/2020: It will be a while before I put these cartridges into service so I can't yet vouch for the print quality. (I'll edit this when I can.) But already I'm seeing things that I really like:1. The cartridges are transparent; I can visually see how much ink is left. (I think LxTek is also offering opaque refills; so, when you reorder, be you get the tranparent ones);2. That opaque shipping clip (red, orange, or yellow) that you remove before installing a cartridge does not loop over the flat plastic spring molded into rear end of the cartridge. I suspect that will make these a triffle easier to install than the OEM's. I won't know until I install one whether that clip can be reattached (in case you would want to refill these).3. The four cartridges come in a purpose-made cardboard box (measuring 4.75" L x 4" W x 2.44 H) that fits them perfectly and keeps them conveniently together until used.One thing that I noticed is that there is an extra wall in the front chamber of each cartridge (the end furthest from you as you install it in the printer-- it's the chamber with the sponge). Its purpose appears to be to limit the volume of that chamber to about 2/3 of that of a standard HP 902 XL cartridge. So, these may not print as many pages as the OEM equivalents.Also, LxTek is not currently selling individual color cartridges. So, if you habitually use one color more rapidly then another, you cannot buy a single cartridge to replace it -- you will have to buy an entire set. Under such circumstances you'll soon find you have more cartridges of every color (except the one you used most often) than you are ever going to use.An alternative to that is to find another compatible supplier that will sell you just what you need when you need it. You can also resort to occasionally refilling the color(s) you use most often, but you were probably hoping to avoid that. I have an OfficeJet Pro 6968, and when I needed more ink, found out that you can’t get HP ink anymore.  I looked for a third party alternative, and settled on this product.  I did some reading online for how to turn off the option on the printer that ‘disallowed’ third party ink and did that before installing the new cartridges.  I had no issues on that front.  I installed the three color cartridges and it worked fine, though perhaps not as bright and vivid as the HP ink.  That’s not particularly an issue for me as I don’t print things that require high quality.  A few days later I printed something, and the quality was awful – like no ink was getting through on one of them, and very little on another.  I was frustrated, and ended up trying pulling the cartridges out and shaking them around.  I also “wiped” the felt ink pads with my finger.  I re-installed and they then worked as they had originally.  I’ve printed a few more times since then, and it’s been fine ever since.  If it malfunctions again and I can’t get them working, I’ll update this review.  Fingers crossed.

Holy cow am I SOOO happy with this purchase!So I've tried with my HP printer a LOT of remanufactured/oem cartridges, ranging from Ebay to Target. The issues would usually be chip malfunction (doesn't recognize cartridge or not show ink level) or it would run out of ink prematurely (within a few months on a 800-page cartridge with normal usage).This set byLxTek is arguably expensive compared to other "compatible" cartridges (which range from $19-$25 for the set), but it is SO worth it because it works!!Chip is recognized by my printer, the ink levels are shown and the quality is solid! I am SO thrilled that this works after having gone through 4 different (other brands) sets over the years to find out it fails or prematurely runs out of ink.Save yourself the hassle, spend the extra $$ and get LxTek. If you read the comments, even when the ink cartridges may pose issues, LxTek owns the problem and resolves it which explains why (for me) this ink product is the highest recommended option among all "compatible" cartridges. Try it, you won't regret it!

Pro:- The chips in the ink cartridges are current so your printer doesn’t recognize them as non-OEM- much less expensive than genuine ink cartridges (and other generic ones)- ink doesn’t leak out (like others I’ve tried)- ships fastCon:- cartridges seem to run out of ink faster- ink quality is not as good as other cartridges- printer always shows a message that cartridge(s) are low on ink- even if they’re notIt’s worth the $ if you don’t need excellent quality printing and this cartridge gets around issues I’ve had before because of the updated chip. If you do a lot of printing it’s a good alternative to the (much) more expensive genuine cartridges.

Bought this back in November for when I run out of ink. I officially ran out of ink yesterday so I finally use this replacement ink... or at least tried to but it’s not compatible with my printer (HP OfficeJet 6978). So if you have the same printer as me DO NOT PURCHASE THIS, or you’ll just end up super frustrated and having ink all over your hands. So much for having extra ink for back up! I can’t even get the stuff I need printed. Such a waste of money. I’ll definitely try and get my money refunded.Update 4/16/21: the seller made it right by giving me a full refund. Apparently there was an update, hence why the printer wasn’t reading the cartridge. I’m willing to try this again later just because the customer service was good and they were willing to resolve my issue

Comme les encres HP originales étaient en rupture de stock peu importe où, je me suis résolu d'acheter ces cartouches compatibles. Personnellement je préfère les cartouches originales même si elle sont beaucoup plus dispendieuses. Comme l'imprimante pour laquelle elles étaient destinées me sert seulement à imprimer des documents le travaillent acceptable. Si j'avais à imprimer des photos je suis certain que ces cartouches ne seraient pas en mesure de me donner la qualité que je désire. En général je suis satisfait de celle-ci pour l'utilisation que j'en fait.

Did not work in HP Printer, No Chip in cartridges

Unfortunately we had to return the ink. The printer we ordered it for died and has been recycled. We sent the ink back and are just waiting for our refund.
