Fair quality for the price, but beware of a couple issues
I ordered this in Mid-April during the COVID quarantine. I would have preferred to buy a WaterRower brand rower, but those were out of my budget and took several weeks longer to ship. I searched Amazon for weeks for a rower similar to WaterRower that had a reasonable shipping time. I just happened to see this one show up in Amazon on the day it was added to the marketplace. I felt it was a risky purchase since it wouldn't be a free return and there were no reviews. But, what can I say? I was desperate for a rower! Working out has been keeping me sane during the quarantine and I can't run due to PF.Pros:Pro #1: This rower has a similar feel to the WaterRower that I'm used to. The resistance feels right and the physical differences are pretty minor (i.e., the handles are angled vs straight, the monitor is different, the footplates are a little closer together).Pro #2: It feels very sturdy (although the footplates creak sometimes) and the seat actually feels more comfy than the WaterRower brand. The movement of the seat on the rails is smooth.Pro #3: It shipped very quickly. I ordered it on 4/17 and received it on 4/24. Given how backordered fitness equipment is during COVID, this was the #1 selling point for me.Cons:Con #1: When I received this rower, it came with the wrong instructions. I contacted the seller and they sent the correct instructions a few days later. However, I was able to figure out how to put this thing together before they got back to me. It was a puzzle but it wasn't impossible.Con #2: The main con for this rower is the monitor. It seems to be wildly inaccurate. Also, the placement of it is situated so that when as you travel forward in your stroke, you can very easily hit it with your hand. The accuracy is the real issue though... It doesn't track meters, just miles and kilometers. So yes, you can do the math to get meters, but again, it's incredibly inaccurate so that calculation means nothing. I was hoping to be able to replace the monitor on this rower with an actual S4 monitor from WaterRower, but unfortunately, it was not compatible. Luckily, I was able to swap out the main pulley for a SmartRow bluetooth (google it, it's awesome) pulley which syncs up to my phone and gives me accurate read-outs. However, that addition was pricey.Con #3: If you fill it more than halfway -- even just a little over -- then it will leak when you set it upright. Easy fix though, just don't fill it up too much and store it down position. All in all, it gets the job done. I've had it for a few weeks now and I do feel like I'm getting the workout I was hoping to. That said, if I had known the monitor would be so inaccurate, I might have made another choice when deciding what to purchase.

Frustrating Rower
I’ve owned a very expensive wooden rower. I sold it a few years ago before I moved. I purchased this rower for its price and what looked like it would be a good rower. I received one box and no rails/tracks. I new something was missing. Fed Ex said that was all I was supposed to be received. I contacted the seller/Amazon and two days later I got the rails. The directions are not correct and the parts are not assembled. So it left out several steps. I finally got it assembled and it seems to work well. Frustrating, but at least I got to work out tonight. The pump they sent is a joke. Get a funnel and it’s quicker with 4 gallon jugs of water. I did give it two stars due to the frustration, but the company is trying to make sure the factory is tying check the directions are done better.

Detective machine
I received the machine missing 4 screws had to go buy them. I assembled the machine pretty easy but the monitor does not work .I looked in the instruction manual and the instruction said to call the after sales dept. but no number was given.. I requested a return and was told I would have to pay and deliver the machine to UPS and they would tell me the cost. I have no way to deliver this machine to UPS. I would not recommend anyone to buy this machine .Why should I pay freight for a defective machine.
