Pumping for over five years!
One of these has run my small garden fountain for over five years, day and night nonstop. Now ordering another as it has stopped pumping although motor still runs. Five years of troublefree service for a small, inexpensive pump is excellent, I think.Additional comment: Also ordered a replacement impeller assembly $15 incl. delivery charge. Now the old pump is back in the fountain running again. However, the plastic housing had gotten brittle over the years and I broke it in two places when replacing the impeller assembly. Was able to jury rig for a functional reassembly. Was a challenge and I therefore recommend replacing the whole pump (new pump cost $40 incl. delivery charge), not just the impeller assembly. My old pump was submerged in chlorinated water for over five years and possibly it was the chlorine that made the plastic brittle. Just a thought.
