Excellent for parakeets or cockatiels
This is an excellent product.I store it in the freezer and take out a weeks supply at a time.Pros:Lot of variety of seeds.Well balanced for my parakeet.Dried fruit bits included.Smells fresh and amazing.Cons;the fruit pieces are a little on the large size for a parakeet. I have to cut them down with scissors. Not much included of vegetables that it advertised is in the ingredients.

The only bird seed for my birds!
Before starting my parakeets on this Dr. Harvey's all natural bird seed last summer, I was noticing some things that I didn't quite understand. On the old run-of-the-mill inexpensive bird seed, I noticed that there were always feathers all around the bird cage; there was always a large amount of discarded seed at the bottom of their cage; the birds were always still hungry after each feeding; and when I would place a treat in their cage they ate it up in no time. That's when I drew the line and decided to purchase Dr. Harvey's. Since I switched to this brand, there is next to no wasted food in the bottom of the cage, hardly any feather's are being shed, they eat so healthily now and the difference in the quality of the food most certainly shows in my birds. I cannot believe that by simply paying a little extra for a high-quality, all-natural bird feed that it would make such a difference in my birds behavior and physical health. I have been a regular customer for a year now and I will never feed cheap bird seed to my birds every again. Anybody buying the cheaper bird seed should take notice to see just what is in the inexpensive brand. I found artificially colored assorted pieces all through the feed--and that is exactly what my birds were not eating. I wasted so much money on the wasted--uneaten old bird seed. I honestly could not be more satisfied with the quality of ingredients. Thank you for providing high=quality, fairly priced bird seed. I am a customer for life! I hope that this review helps other bird owners when they face the same issues that I faced before I switched bird feed.

“Tweet Dreams Come True: Dr. Harvey’s Parakeet Fiesta!”
Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round the birdcage, for I have a tale to chirp—a saga of epic proportions, starring none other than the Dr. Harvey’s Our Best Parakeet Food!Picture this: a culinary masterpiece that combines the wisdom of ancient avian sages with the flair of a Michelin-starred chef. Yes, my feathered friends, this isn’t just bird food; it’s a symphony of flavors, a gastronomic delight that’ll make your little beak do a happy jig.Let’s break it down, shall we? First, the ingredients—oh, they read like a who’s who of the parakeet world. We’ve got Canary Grass Seed, which sounds like a VIP pass to the coolest bird parties. Then there’s White Millet, the socialite of the seed kingdom, mingling with Red Millet, its equally fabulous cousin. And let’s not forget the Oat Groats, the hipsters of the grain scene—organic, gluten-free, and always Instagram-ready.But wait, there’s more! Brace yourselves for the fruity fiesta: Mango Dices, Pineapples, and Papaya—it’s like a tropical vacation in every beakful. And the veggies? Oh, they’re the rock stars: Broccoli, Green Beans, and even a dash of Orange Peel (because why should humans have all the fun?). Your parakeet will strut around the cage like a runway model, flaunting those vibrant feathers. Now, let’s talk nuts. Not your run-of-the-mill nuts, mind you. We’re talking Brazil Nuts, Filberts, Cashews, Almonds, Walnuts, and a surprise guest—Macadamia Nuts! It’s like a nutty Oscars after-party, and your parakeet is the A-list celebrity. Paparazzi, take notes. And the pièce de résistance—the rotating buckle of this avian feast—the Hemp Seed! It’s the James Bond of seeds, suave and mysterious. Your parakeet will nibble it, then glance around as if expecting secret agents to burst through the bars. “Shaken, not stirred,” it’ll squawk. But what about the preservatives? Fear not, my feathered comrades. Dr. Harvey’s is like the Gandalf of pet food—no artificial anything, no dark magic. Just wholesome goodness that’ll make your parakeet’s heart sing. And the resealable packaging? Genius! It keeps the freshness intact, like a time capsule of yumminess. Now, let’s address the foraging behavior. Oh, your parakeet will forage like a pirate hunting treasure. It’ll dive into the bowl, toss seeds like doubloons, and squawk, “Avast, me hearties!” You’ll find little feathers stuck to the sides, evidence of a parakeet food rave. And the best part? The nutrient-rich profile that’ll turn your parakeet into an avian superhero. It’s like Popeye’s spinach, but fancier. Your bird will flex its wings, zoom around the cage, and maybe even attempt a loop-de-loop. (Disclaimer: Parakeets are not licensed pilots.)In summary, dear bird enthusiasts, Dr. Harvey’s Our Best Parakeet Food is more than a meal—it’s a passport to flavor paradise. So spread your wings, my little buddies, and embark on a culinary adventure. Bon appétweet!

According to my dragons, this stuff is hoard worthy.
The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical. But I wanted something on s&s so I thought I'd give it a try after reading so many good reviews. My 4 budgies liked the old feed I got from the big box store week well enough ... But the proof is in the dish. Yesterday the new bag of Our Best Parakeet Food arrived and so I mixed in 50/50 with their old feed. This morning I went to refill the dish because they were squawking at me like it was empty to find that it was still half full, but only the old food remained! After one taste, they were sold. They even ate all of the dried pieces of fruit which they normally don't touch in other brands of food. You can really see, smell and feel the difference between the feeds. The dried fruit looks actually edible, everything smells fresh instead of like something you found in the bottom of Grandma's pantry. Worth the extra couple of dollars FOR SURE. I'm very happy. And my dragons are delighted. 💜

Budgies happy and healthy and enjoy eating their food
I’ve been using this product for almost 4 years now and all my budgies love it.I like to place it in a wide dish at the bottom of my cages these days, because the budgies love to forage for their most favorite foods.I have never had such healthy happy budgies as I have had since feeding them this product! However:Like many other reviews, I have noticed that the dark round seeds are rarely if ever touched. Even so, given the multiple veggie, fruit and other seed options my budgies can choose from makes it worth the purchase. The only other thing I’m not so fond of is that some of the fruit and nut pieces are much too large for budgie beaks, and a couple of the fruits appear to contain added sugars as well.I would like to see these processed to the proper size, and include only dehydrated fresh fruits, as this product states it is specifically for parakeets….(not people)! So I give it a 4 plus-plus rating.
