Creates a flavorful loaf of bread
I used this along with bread flour to produce a sour dough starter. It made for great natural "yeast" when I used it and I've since baked many delicious loaves from it. Good to know that it's all natural and organic which is a must for making one's own starter.

Good quality
Does well in my rye bread recipes, but I like Arrowhead better for the flavor.

Good as usual
We have used lots of Bobs Red Mill products in the past so knew what to expect, not disappointed

I could not buy in grocery store
So ordered. Weird. Delivery was not fast but not a problem for me as I made different breads. Package was sealed well with absolutely no leakage. Grateful that expiration dates on both are reasonable.

tasty and fresh
Very tasty and fresh. To my surprise, my favorite health/organic food store doesn't carry rye flour. The best supermarket carries Arrowhead rye flour, but it's not labeled as dark, though I don't see a difference. My rye bread recipe: 160g bread flour, 80g rye flour, 2.5 tsp breadmaker yeast, 3/4 tsp salt, 1 Tblsp caraway, 10g olive oil, 170g water, 14g molasses, set bread machine for 1 pound loaf.

The only flour my wife will use
My wife has a sourdough starter that she's always caring for like a baby. She's tried a lot of flour, but always comes back to this one. I tend to agree, it seems to do the best and has a nice taste to it.

Top quality
Couldn't find rye flour, so ordered this for first time. My Swedish rye bread turned out best in years. This is pricey flour, but worth it.

Makes Great Rye Bread
substitute for 1 cup white flour when making bread and it comes out great (3 cups regular bread flour/1 cup this rye flour plus Caraway seeds yields great flavor rye bread) I use the quick kneedless recipies and it works great. Keeps longer in the freezer and scoop as needed
