These gaiters look nice, and they are truly ultra-light and compact, but the product name and description are incorrect and totally misleading. There are two problems: these gaiters are not waterproof at all, and the Velcro strips don't work well even without any load (they open with very little effort), which could be a defect of a specific pair I received. Actually, they should be kept away from water because they absorb rather than repel it, which is an irony. They should be good though for light protection against sand, debris, etc., but not for fishing, snowboarding, and other "wet" activities.The seller was absolutely useless in dealing with return request. His replies made very little sense and correspondence with him was total waste of time. Finally, Amazon's A-to-Z guarantee was used.

Great product and exactly what I expected and needed. I had ordered these and another longer pair to help me not have to spend time each day picking wood chips and debris from my socks and shoes after doing clean up work after hurricane season. Sadly, it took 19 months for these to arrive. Frankly, I had forgotten about them. I have another job now, but I can still use a good product like this.

These have worked well for my use so far. I take them backpacking with me on the AT. So far, we haven't encountered any heavy rain, but they have worked to keep sticks and leaves out of my hiking boots. The only downside is that the velcro strip is a little bit too long, so there isn't a whole lot of tension to keep the hook at the bottom in place on my laces. Overall, decent quality for the cost.

These are easy to carry, put on in 3 min, totally do the job. Clean, simple lightweight. My photo says it all. They keep all kinds of stickers & brush out of your shoes & socks. I hiked with just one on one foot & you can see the difference it made. I hope they bring this product back.

Velcros lose their sticky strength easily.

OK, but had to sew off top elastic to make it snug to my ankle and the hook and loop material disintegrated with use. Didn't last as long as I'd hoped.

Gaiter's fit well over a pair of size 11 men's Cabela's hiking shoes. However, one of the gaiters had a lot of extra loose thread that I had to end up cutting off at different points. So far they seem to be holding up.

they work great. No more rocks in my sons hiking shoes. yey

I'm not sure what the purpose of the hook at the heel of the gaiter is used for, but it got caught on a stick causing it the rip up the entire Velcro connection. They would have been fine if it wasn't for what I consider a design flaw

Somehow are not actually as tall as what the photo shows. Took a long time to get here.
