Career Essentials: The Cover Letter Paperback – July 30, 2011

This book is well written, easy to follow and doesn't take hours to read. It is a coaching book with lots of helpful advice. There are also a few letter samples so you can see the writing style recommended. Any book offering this amount of advice is well worth the money, time and effort. I would recommend this book to anyone: from a newcomer to the workforce, to someone looking for a fresh, intelligent approach to their job search.

I've read Mayer's other 2 books on Career Essentials. I didn't think I needed this, but the other books were so helpful I decided to purchase it anyway. I'm glad I did. The cover letter is so important, one more tool that I'll need to get the best job I can find. I've been getting interview requests, and I know the advice in this book will get me more interviews. It's packed with information, and as in the other books, given in an easy to understand and follow way. With these low prices, I got much more than my money's worth.

A good cover letter is as important as a well-put together resumé, and Mayer gives you all the tools you need to make sure your letter sparkles. Highly recommended.
