Solid pocket door hardware!
The media could not be loaded. As a finish carpenter I hang doors for a living so I’ve seen a lot of hardware. This is probably the most solid pocket door hardware I’ve seen. The handle itself is easy to install however the strike plate requires some precision to line up with the handle set.

Great latch for your pocket doors
We bought two of these to replace two other pocket door locks which both failed in service. Design appears to be more robust and hope these don't fail. Installation requires a precise touch as the alignments are critical. However, once installed, the lock works like a charm. One nice feature is that the grab pull stays extended until the door is unlocked. Seems like a trivial feature, but it shows that the design engineers were doing their homework.6/10/2017 Citiloc pocket door locks are still going strong. Definitely the choice.11/27/2017. Still working. fine. Definitely the one to buy4/13/2018. Have three installed Citiloc pocket door locks. All are working like new after 2 years. Only one to buy.

The one on my main floor powder room receives the most traffic (from both guests and family) and the Kwikset brand locking latch
I have many pocket doors (all wood solid oak heavy pocket doors) so therefore a lot of pocket door latches. The originals that the builder put in were Kwikset brand and functioned well for the most part. The one on my main floor powder room receives the most traffic (from both guests and family) and the Kwikset brand locking latch set has a pull that extends pretty far out when used as a pull, and then, when the door is shut, if the door is off center at all, it rams the locking mechanism in and bends up the rail inside. The Citiloc brand has a pop-out pull latch that only pulls out a little ways and even if the door is off center when shutting, it just pops back in. I am hopeful that this will allow this latch to hold up much better over time. The lockset installed easy and locks securely, and seems to function well. I also added an edge pull to the door to allow guests to more easily identify how to close the door (the small pop-out is not that easy to identify if you don't know what you're looking for).Overall the fit, finish and function are good and I would recommend using this brand. I would also recommend pairing it with an edge pull.

Don't read instructions- Useless
Instructions state make 2 3/4 or 2 3/8 hole and have both templates. It wasn't until I cut the hole and looked at the lock that it was not adjustable between both sizes. The box clearly states it is only for 2 3/8 hole. I have never seen a lock set that is only one size so I didn't even think to look at the box because the directions showed both. Long story short need a different lock now since directions were not clear. Check your box if you are drilling the holes yourself. Now I have to wait for another brand to send me the right lock. Easily avoided if instructions and size were clearer.

Made a low profile door handle
In my guest room I installed a Murphy bed and the travel of the bed was impeded by the door handle. I swapped out a normal handle for this and it works.Since this is not the intended use I can't knock it too much. But if you do something like this then prepare to drill out the hole in the door where the latch goes another 2 inches.

Small, but works well.
I needed a two-sided lock for a pocket door at the bottom of the stairs. This was easy to install in the existing hole for the original lock and it does lock the door. Only four stars because it is small and a little difficult to get hold of the recessed latch to turn it. There would be room to make this latch bigger and not interfere with the door. I also wish it had a latch on both sides. There is no latch on the back side, but I'm able to lock it by using a quarter to turn it. Overall, it works well and looks nice.

Great product
Really like this product. It worked perfectly on retrofitting a hinged door onto a pocket door kit. I really like how the locking mechanism works. Only negative would be the size of the locking handle. It's small and could be easier to twist. Easy to install, other than needing to chisel or router the strike hole.

Sticks too much
The latch housing sets very deep, requiring a deep bore through the frame. The lock will engage and struggle to disengage; with kids they are unable to muscle the latch open.If it had not been a custom install, i would be looking for a new latch
