Life-saver for after surgery use!!
I am a 60 yr. old female, 8 wks. out from having had a total knee replacement. Needless to say, shaving my legs with my disposable shaver in the tub was out of the question due to bending difficulties. This shaver was a life saver! My fiance has had the same one for years and he likes it, so I bought one for myself. No mess shaving while standing, easy clean-up of the mechanisms within the shaver and no itching, only a smooth close fit dry shave. I can now attend my PT sessions with confidence and not embarrassment. Fast charging, quiet and easy to hold as well. Highly recommend for use by women! So it's "black & blue" and not "pink", big deal...it works great!!!

Close shave.
Good close shave without the nicks and cuts. Battery charge lasts nearly one month with daily use.

Remington shaver
This is a nice shaver. For men or woman’s use. Does a close clean shave. The price was right and clean it under the faucet. And the pop up blade works good for side burns.

I have used the F4 series for many years
F4 series with Intercept comes in a few different packages. Most notable the plug in transformer or the USB charging cord. Both work well with the F4 foil shaver. This model came with the US style plug in cord. I have a tough beard and am retired so I often only shave every third or fourth day. The intercept feature comes in handy for a three day growth. Like the pop-up trimmer, Intercept doesn't collect the cut beard hairs so they drop to chest, lap, floor, sink or anywhere the wind might blow. The two flex foil cutters work well for me. The blades and foil are easy to replace. The foil/blades can be replaced by firmly grabbing the plastic housing and pulling it away from the shaver. A brush is supplied to clean the blade housing and blade holders. From my experience the shaver should be dumped and cleaned after every use. The shaver produces plenty of blade movement and is reasonably noisy. Genuine replacement foil/blade assembly is close to 30 dollars and a complete shaver can usually be found for under 45 dollars. This is a well built, reliable shaver with good battery life. It only operates with the charger cord disconnected so is not a corded shaver. I recommend this shaver.

much the same as the much older PF7500, except for..................slow as molasses recharging.
shaver performs comparably to my much older PF7500 remington, except for the recharging. i noticed the new one, the PF7400, takes many hours longer to achieve a full charge. i did not know why, until a remington company representative explained the older PF7500 has a fast charge feature while the new PF7400 does not. it makes a huge difference! i may keep the PF7500. but if i knew this ahead of time, i definitely would not have bought the newer PF7400 shaver. shame on you remington for not including that feature and even worse, for not explaining that difference in your description. update 10/2025 - i am really upset with the performance of this shaver. a number of things are far worse than my old remington, which i had hoped to replace. 1) it doesnt shave nearly as close as the old shaver which is about 8 years old now. 2) it slows down far faster with use than the old remington. 3) recharging is absolutely ridiculous. not only is the new shaver plug not compatible with the old cord, it takes many, many hours to fully charge even after only a few days of use. the 'fast charge feature has been eliminated, probably to save money. ridiculous! 4) if the battery goes dead, i cannot run the shaver while plugged in. thats right! the shaver will not run while plugged in. that is asinine! these changes virtually guarantee i will NOT BE BUYING another remington. SHAME ON YOU REMINGTON! update 11/2025 - seldom use the PF7400 now. its only value to me is the pop-up trimmer. i noticed that when i use it for as little as 3 minutes, it take well over 4 hours maybe longer, to recharge to full. junk!

Absolutely amazing!
Dude I’m not cheap on razors! I had a $200 Braun that was awful! This razor is way better! One of my best purchases of the last year!👍👍👍👍👍👍

Won't operate with the cord attached
I bought this model to replace my 11-year-old Remington Model F4790. My old Remington has served me well and frankly still works - the battery doesn’t hold a charge anymore, but I’ve been using it as a corded shaver just fine. I’ve replaced countless screens and blades and have been quite happy. It was time to replace the foil screen again and I just decided to replace the whole thing. I selected PF7400 as the nearest replacement. The shaver is lighter despite being a little larger. The shave head is different and it does a nice comfortable job shaving. My older F4790 had a movable head, and the new PF7400 does too. They both have trimmers on the back, and those trimmers are adequate but nothing special. I do have a two gripes with the new shaver that may be a deal-breaker: 1) The new Remington PF7400 will ONLY operate on the charged battery. If the battery is low or dead, you can’t plug the shaver in to use it. The plug is for charging ONLY. So, if this thing activates in your luggage on an airplane and is dead when you get to your destination you’ve a got a 16-24 hour charge to accomplish before you can use it. Better have a razor handy. My older Remington F4790 could have just plugged in while in use, then continue to charge. Bad design, moving backwards in technology - in my opinion. 2) The cord sucks compared to my older Remington model F4790. It’s a cheesy thin charger cord on the end of a tiny adapter. It’s a wadded-up mess when you receive it new, and that’s probably not going to improve with age. Whereas my older Remington F4790 had a nice coiled charger cord that has still kept it’s shape 11 years later. I can recommend it for a fairly close comfortable shave, but I knock 2-stars off of it because the technology has regressed, not improved, over older models.

Good electric shaver
Replaced older Remington F4 style. This shaver has an updated head for a closer shave, and charges with USB.
