Used it on a fire pit with a grill underneath it.Worked great because I had to tone down the heat for cooking with a small griddle.

This product is 3/8" thick - ideal for mass producing pizzas. This steel will stay hot in the oven with the door open pizza after pizza. I'm a nut for conditioning all my own kitchen steel and cast iron so I could do without the pre-treatment coating on it. But it's great for folks new to this type of baking. Absolutely love this steel!!

Inherited a pizza craft oven. Wanted a pizza steel instead of pizza stone. Fits perfectly.

Fits right in my toaster oven. I have been conscious of the lack of a baking steel in my life for sometime and remember seeing them as a child in the kitchens of bakers/cooks that are celebrated, however I wish they would have stresses the importance/necessity of them to reach the ful petential of your food. They could not have exaggerated.

I used this for the first time last night and my pizza came out slightly stiff and brittle, like a cast iron pizza. I was convinced that my pizza stone did a better job.After some light reading I learned that the pizza steels will cook the pie faster. I reduced my cooking time and it worked like a charm.This makes crispy chewy pizza in under 10 minutes. It also looks great and will last forever (hopefully), unlike my pizza stone, which cracked after a month of use. Looking forward to making bread, pita, and more on this.Worth every penny.
