I bought this as a sun shade for my patio, which is exactly 20x16.However, I did not factor in the space needed for tension. Yes it fits my space and covers my patio but because i don't have tension in the shade it droops in the middle. I have it attached to the roofline of the house and a pergola. It seems it needs few extra feet in the corners to get it right.I think I might of been better off purchasing a size smaller.The material is fine but be prepared it will pick up every bit of dirt, leaves and pine needles it comes in contact with.My solution to my sagging problem was to put our patio umbrella in the middle and open to its highest setting. Looks a bit cheesy but its better than a big old sag in the middle.if you purchase just take into consideration of tension and how/where its going to hang.

wow how great does the sail canopy look with the others.It keeps want me to order more but running out space,When the blows the truly loog like sails. Everybody thinks I spent a lot of money but haven't even spent any were near our first plan. thank God we got the right contractor who really know how to install them. everybody that lives on my block as they drive down our alley askes were and how much. all our friends beg for our contractors phone number and is planning to have them installed too. we should get payed from our contractor as many jobs we sold for him. You want to upgrade with spending a lot of money this is it . Makes our home look like a million dollar home and we live up on a hill and you can see the colors for miles.WE are going to injoy them for years to come thanks

This sun shade is slightly larger than the 20'x16' described. The directions state that you should hang it in an area 12" wider/longer than the shade so this one seemed perfect for my 21'x17' deck.However, it is slightly more than 21' wide and 17' long so it sagged considerably. It's not really a rectangle either since the corners stick out quite a bit to make the tethers strong. (I think the image shows that pretty well though.)I took it to a tailor to get it altered to be 2' shorter and 2' narrower and now it fits fine and works well as a sun shade.

Great sail shade for the money. I have had several people amazed at the size of it and always ask WHERE I found it. It looks the same as a coolaroo, but it is made of a thinner material. It has taken a beating from the weather this season in AZ, but have had ZERO problems with it. HOLD ON TIGHT if you are trying to remove it in the wind because it is so large it catches a lot of wind!

Mine started to sag in a week after a rain and tore within a couple of weeks of installation.Consider that this is 16 x 20 ft and the material needs to be able to withstand a good amount of force from even light winds. It is not strong enough for that. I didn't have any extreme weather, maybe just one storm that came through.The seller in my case (South Mission) denies any responsibility because they are just a reseller of the product. Their support also tried to imply that the installation was wrong. It was installed as per the directions, with offsetting heights to reduce drag and keep the rain from pooling.I'm now trying an A-Z claim that is getting denied because I didn't do it all within 30 days. You might consider that too -- you're probably not going to have the time to install it the day it arrives! So you'll probably just be out the money when it fails a few weeks later.

Nice to get something that is exactly what it claims. The sail stretched a little more than I planned for so I had to make some adjustments but nothing difficult. The added shade has made the yard much more enjoyable. Well worth the time and money.

So far so good, bought to cover half the pool for a kids party here in southern California in july. Really helps a lot, nicely made looks pretty strong too. Thinking about buying another one soon.
