The media could not be loaded. I've had this set up for about two weeks while I cycle my tank. It took a few minutes of tweaking to get the skimmer set up the first time, but did a water change just today, and it's much easier now that I have a better idea of where the setting should be. Glass feels sturdy in hand on both pieces, and I have moved and detached them from hoses a few times now as I get things to where I like them. I saw a tip to heat the tips of both the glass and the hoses when reattaching to avoid blow out when starting up after any maintenance to them, and that advice worked out great for me. I just use a hair dryer at the max heat setting.The lily pipe had plenty of clearance over the rim of my 29 gallon tank, but the skimmer/intake is a bit of a tighter fit. But it does fit! If your rimmed tank is much larger, you will probably need to shell out for a different set.Overall, I'm really pleased with this set.

The media could not be loaded. I attached these to brand new tubing that was sized for this and my filter. I have the top fin cf60. So not the best filter. This filter with its original inlet and outlet barely gave my 40 gallon any noticeable flow. As soon as I attached these lily pipes I could immediately see a huge difference. Obviously they are very pretty. They are also designed nicely to fit more flush with the back or the edge of a tank. My water level is a little low in the pictures I posted I normally like to keep it maybe an inch or so higher. I only bring that up to point out that the way the inlet is designed, part the opening will still be exposed to the air. Which is not a bad thing at all.Overall the flow is beautiful, I can see all of the blades and leaves on all of my plants moving. The outlet has already caught some of the free gloating plant pieces that have been in my tank for the past few days.Cleaning seems like it will be easyThe top and the bottom come off of the outlet so that should make scrubbing simple enough.For my next tanks I'm definitely going to buy these again

They work great just probably not the most ideal for a tank with shrimp application. I opened my fx4 filter to find a small colony in there lol. I definitely do recommend them just not with shrimp. Also they are extremely easy to clean.

The actual part of the inlet where the water is sucked in is larger than where the 16mm tube connects. And that size is not listed. I found this out the hard way when I bought and inlet guard designed for a 16/22mm lily inlet pipe. Not sure why they made a size difference there but would have been nice to have the measurements listed or at least a disclaimer. Also, the suction cups are pretty small for such a larger lily pipe. any 16/22mm hose hooked up to this will easily overpower them leaving your pipes hella crooked in the tank. Also, this thing bobs like nobody's business since the inlet has such a super massive hole. Today is day 2 of trying to get this thing to stop bobbing. These pipes are also stupid huge. I have a 90p so I figured I get the larger pipes. But these things look jurassic even in my larger tank! Go a step down. Especially since you'll likely have to turn your flow down anyway to stop the bobbing. Overall a decent product for what I assume has no perfect solution.

This thing took my boring looking intake and outflow to a more sleek look. I was worried it wouldn’t work due to reading some reviews but I’m so glad I purchased this Fzone kit. Love the built in skimmer as well wow

This looks great and I am sure if it did not explode as soon as water started going through the pipes, it would have been great. I like the design and features, but I think the QA on this one got missed. It shot glass all over my saltwater tank. Hope I got it all out. Amazon did approval a return, so I guess that is the one star.

I bought this product ~1 month ago to replace the black plastic parts that came with my filter and I'm really happy with the decision. The quality of the glass is great and both parts feel very sturdy. I wasn't worried at all about breaking them as I attached them to the tubing. This is the first surface skimmer I've used and it's a pretty cool design. The bottom of the intake has an adjustable cap that allows you to block the grates to force water through the surface skimmer, making it easy to use this product with filters of various flow rates. The skimmer does a great job getting small particles off the surface without sucking in a bunch of air and it doesn't add any noise to my tanks filtration system. I've done a few large water changes since adding the skimmer and I haven't needed to play around with or adjust the skimmer to get it functioning again. It's a pretty robust design. The only downside is the green spot algae that wasn't visible with my black plastic parts, but thats more of a tank problem than a product problem. I definitely recommend this product and will start buying them for my other tanks.

The media could not be loaded. This is a high quality glass lily pipe set. I was using a more expensive set prior to this, but it broke while cleaning it. I got this one as it was less expensive, and I've been really happy with it.The skimmer works very well. After my old glass return & skimmer broke, I was using a plastic return without a skimmer and was surprised how quickly the surface got loaded up with debris and oils. Within a few minutes of installing this one, the surface was crystal clear.If you have a planted aquarium or rimless aquarium I highly recommend it.
