The book is like new. Better than I expected.

As a bit of a background (and bias) - I am writing as one who knew the author Dean Boorman for 53 years - he was my father.HIs knowledge on antique firearms was extensive and he was a well respected member of the the antique firearm collector's community. His great Uncle, Dr. Bashford Dean was the original curator and founder of the Arms and Armor department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The passion and interest of antique firearm collecting ran deep in his family of engineers.As a child and teen he struggled with a speech disorder (studdering) which he admirably overcame thought the help of the Toastmasters club. While he had his struggles with speech articulation, his talent for writing was nothing short of outstanding.We enjoy reading his books over and over and I give them as gifts (purchased on Amazon) to friends (saving my signed copies!)Dean Boorman passed away peacefully in La Jolla, California in November of 2020, we say possibly of a broken heart after he lost his wife, Penny of 60 years 13 days prior. He was in his early 90s.I am proud to see his legacy live on through his amazing books - thank you for reading.
