PRODUCE Organic Honeycrisp Apples, 48 Ounce

These apples are sweet and sweet how you imagine an apple to smell. They were crisp and decent size. I buy a bag every other week!

At least 85% of the time, these Gala apples are stellar. They are crispy and flavorful. Once in a while, I get a whole bag that is just "off". Now it's been twice in a row. I like the Fuji apples better since they're crispier. These Galas will make a good baked apple crumble dessert though. The rest of the time when they're really good, they can't be beat.

Is the Honeycrisp the best apple variety ever developed? No (that would be the SweeTango). Is it the best variety that everyone in the US can get? Yes. Hands down. A properly grown Honeycrisp is sweet and crisp in perfect balance. It has none of the qualities of a Red Delicious and that is what makes it awesome. Would I recommend letting Whole Foods select apples for you and deliver them? No... they have never met an apple that they don't want to bruise during delivery; however, even the worst, most bruised Honeycrisp is one billion times better than a Gala or McIntosh.

What isn’t there to extol about the organic honey crisp apple? It’s shape a celestial specter, proof indeed of a higher power. It’s crisp, firm texture a salute to the lesser attended to non-taste sensors of the mouth. Then, the flavor, O wonders! Sweet, yet just tart, and then tart yet just sweet! Nary an apple compares, though worthy many do try.

Whole foods has a great organic selection and their food does not disappoint.The honeycrisp apples are not only fresh, but sweet and crunchy, just as they are supposed to be. The 3lb bag came with 8 apples, all which were in good condition.Overall, I'd recommend

Overpriced in general but especially considering the bag is 1/2 to 2/3 rotten every single order. Thankfully Amazon handles refunds pretty well.
