Im impressed with the heft and weight. It reminds me of a proper throwing knife. Its well balanced and I like the feel of it. I've used it to clear mud away from a large bush root im processing for drift wood and it works great for the purpose. Ive also used it for choping weeds. It could be sharpened for that purpose. The tool itself is great so far. The blade is thick and seems durable. However I made a small cut in the sheath almost immediately by sheathing it. I hope the sheath holds up. It fits well on the belt. I would recommend it.

This knife is fantastic! I use it more than any other garden tool. It gets in and under weeds roots like no other. I have one in all my garden carts , sheds, and motorhome. I love this knife! I had one similar to it from the garden store and it broke off at the handle. The shaft did not continue into the handle like this knife. I paid about the same for that piece of junk that I thought was good. Once I saw how cheaply it was made I knew I wanted another but better designed. This one fills the order.

I purchased this for my husband for a Christmas gift. Spring comes & he is excited to put this shovel to use in our flower bed. Saddly the blade snapped on the first try. He was terribly upset & I'm thoroughly embarrassed. The blade looks & feels amazing! The sheath is crafted wonderfully. Id give this tool 5 stars from looks & feel alone. Very disappointed it couldn't hold up.

Stuck at home (May of 2020), I decided to hit the dirt. I couldn't find the tool I ordered a year or two ago and didn't want to look beyond a few likely spots. No dice. So I ordered another one, and I am as pleased with this as I was with the first. The only cautionary comment I would offer is that the tool is shaped long a long trowel with a slight curve to it. And when you hold it with the curve facing up, the serrated edge is to the left. So if you want to undercut weeds, or dig, with a gesture going from right to left, it works just fine. Having said that, this is perhaps the best tool for when you're on your knees in the dirt and need to do something: cut, dig, poke a hole around a new plant to let water in or probe for moisture. It's strong, balanced, and no BS. Two days after it arrived I found the first one, but no regrets.

Calling it a knife is not really doing this justice, as it's a lot more than that. I recently built a 4'x2' raised bed and was looking at small gardening tool set (trowel, mini rake, etc.) and then found this in the listings. For me it's a MUCH better option. pretty much one tool that will do it all. It's small enough that it can slip into a drawer out of the way, and you are protected against the sharp edges when it's packed away by a well-fitted leather sheath. Couple of things that turned what might have been a 5-star review into a four star: 1. It has a full tang, but the wood is a little on the narrow side, so the metal is exposed either side of the handle, and as a result not quite as comfortable as it might be. 2. The measurements are.. odd. Inches are divided metrically, and the distances between the inch markers aren't consistent. Although this isn't a huge deal, if they are going to add this as a feature, then at least get it right. It's not rocket surgery, after all. Other than the above, I'm happy with the purchase, and IF it broke (can't imagine how; I'm more likely to lose it than break it!) I'd purchase again, and hope that the handle issue is just a one off. Four stars. Great find.

Great product at a great price. Useful tool & wear it on your belt.

I can't remember ever leaving a review before but I was so disappointed in this product and the experience (or lack thereof) of attempting to find a resolution with the company that I am compelled to do what I can to inform prospective purchasers to stay far far away from this product. I purchased this as part of an Amazon Black Friday Lightning Deal. The hori knife didn't come out of the box until late May because you can't do much gardening when there is snow on the ground. Within three uses [light/normal duty... not like I was trying to dig a maple out of the ground with it or anything] the blade snapped in half. I wasn't able to find any way to contact the seller so I utilized the function to involve Amazon (I forget exactly what it is called). Once I submitted my request I never heard a word from the seller or Amazon. What a waste of time and money.
