I thought I'd have issues with getting this on my car. This was super easy to use and leaves a sleek and simple look.

This was a very easy install. All I did was clean off the bug crap with WD-40 in which helped slide the plates in easier. The people who had problems with this simple install probably can't change a spare tire.

Initial Review March 2, 2023Reluctant to put a license plate on the front of our Miata I did it just to comply with the CA laws.The 2019 Miata has mounting positions within the borders of the front grill. I just drilled small holes in the marked places and screwed the plate to the car. It seems soundly in place. I thought other suggestions for installing the plate off to the side didn't please me.Some buyers complained that it was difficult to put the plate into the frame. It took me about 15 minutes by stretching the edge of the frame over the edge of the plate. I did not need to bend the plate.I recommend this frame.

These are great! Protect your car because they are silicon and nicely hold the plate secure! They have finishing caps that press on to hide the screws! A nice finished look! The only drawback is if you change cars as in a Lease, the "caps" cannot be reused...the back part just snaps off. But, I like them that much bought my 2nd set for my new vehicle. Much better than those metal frames that look horrible after they weather.

Product was delivered on time and in good shape. These plate covers fit my Illinois truck plate (B) perfectly. They are snug but I made sure the covers were warm before installing them on the plate. I started at the bottom corner and worked across the bottom first because it is the thinnest part of the cover with the drain holes in it. Had them on in just a few minutes. The screws, washers and caps that came with them fits perfectly and gives it a nice clean look when installed. Be sure to snap covers on tightly. To remove them you use a very small screwdriver to pop them off. As far a durability goes, only time will tell. I have never bought silicone covers before so I have nothing to compare them to. If I had to pick something that I thought needed improvement it would be thickness. They aren't bad but I think they could be a little thicker.

My only complaint is that this comes with 4 of each type of screw, the coarse screws and the machine screws. If you are going to put 4 screws in one plate to make it more secure with security screws you need more screws. Luckily I already had security screws. This allowed me to take off my dealer's free advertising and put on a nice clean looking boarder around my plate. Be aware that your plate fits inside the boarders of this holder so you have to work it around. At first I though it was too small for my plate. The plate fits inside.

I had a tough time putting my plate in it, but managed to succeed. Looks great on my Smart Car.
