**NOTE: This review is for the purposes of running and COVID-19 Mask Protection**Overall, this is not a bad product. It takes some getting used to and is not for everyone. Here are my thoughts:GOOD:It's light weight and feels cool to the touch especially when running. I don't overheat in it and it does wick away some moisture. The ear loops are well constructed (can be a little bulky) and don't cut into your ear and is comfortable for an hour plus on the ears. The fabric does contour to the face but for breathing through your mouth is actually quite comfortable. I also have a short stubble beard and the hair does stick out but the gaiter does stay in place.BAD:The fabric is stretchy which can be lead to bigger holes in the fabric which essentially fails the candle test. Also the fabric is a little tight which tends to squish my nose and can be uncomfortable. The way the gaiter is cut is just straight and there is no contour for the eyes which takes some time to get just right as well as the back of the head where it just feels weird.CONCLUSION:For those who like and are used to gaiters, this is a could be a great fit for you. I also highly recomend giving this a try for those with beards as it stays in place. For those who have not worn or are used to gaiters, I would be hesitant as it can be an odd fit. I would try other styles of masks first but if all those fail, give this one a try. It definitely takes some getting used to.

I have only in adulthood began dealing with seasonal allergies. The problem is, I love being outdoors. I go for regular bike rides and walks with my dog. Without a mask, sometimes even the smallest periods outside would make me miserable for a day or two.Since then, I've gotten in the habit of wearing masks whenever I am outside and it has done wonders for me. Just the other day, I went mountain biking for around 1h20mins with few allergy symptoms to show for it.You might be asking, why not just any mask, why are these so special?Well, ice silk is the real deal when it comes to mask material for outdoor allergies. It is thick enough to assist with allergies, but thin enough to be breathable. An additional benefit for glasses wearers is that it is less likely to fog your glasses. My buddy went with a different gaiter material and couldn't wear it the entire bike ride due to his glasses fogging up every time. I have never had such an issue with this mask alone.PS: This is not a very good mask for protection against viruses like COVID-19. A preliminary study on mask effectiveness showed that gaiters actually faired slightly worse than wearing no mask at all when it comes to infection spread. I suspect it has something to do with the absorbent nature of the material usually used to make gaiters. I empathize with those who have difficulty breathing in thicker masks, but it is best to lookout for yourself, your family, and community by wearing a more appropriate mask in public.

I got this product for the same reason many are probably browsing it: your gym has mask requirements or you are participating in outdoor recreation with a mixed party mid pandemic. These are GREAT for those purposes, they are light and breathable, and you will not need to fuss with them. It needs to be said, however, they are NOT as effective as a standard cloth mask, because of the thin material and how close it is to your mouth, so you will need to take certain precautions when wearing in public. Best case is still allow a few feet between you and others, and breath through your nose, so the moisture has a more places to go inside the gaiter, since the cloth may be fairly tight against your mouth.One major bonus is that since it is such a simple piece of material, you can easily hand wash it, and hang dry it for daily use! I really enjoy having this product, and it is my main go-to for any active recreation I do.

I bought this item because my local outdoor cycling club requires masks due to COVID. This mask is much easier to breathe in while exercising. The fabric feels cool to the touch and felt great during the summer, but I could also see using it when it gets colder. Although I originally bought this to meet the requirements for group rides, I also use on solo rides because it keeps out pollen and helps with my allergies. Honestly I forget I'm wearing it except for that I have to move it to drink water. I bought the gray one with the ear holes and I liked it so much I bought one for my husband who uses it to go to the farmers market.Since the material is thin, I would not recommend using it as an indoors COVID mask, and for this reason I am taking off a star. But if you are looking for something to exercise in outdoors it's great.

This mask is a beautiful statement piece that flatters most colors paired with it. Its very comfortable, I feel no pressure on my ears at all even if I'm wearing glasses and a headset along with the mask. I can easily wear this mask for hours at a time, though the longest I've specifically tested is 12. Light cardio exercise is also still relatively easy in this mask, so it gets my full seal of approval!I've done my research into Covid-19 and have personally concluded that the particles may not be eliminated with a thin mask like this, but they will be significantly reduced. Since my main concern is protecting my grandmother (who lives with me), I opted for a mask that went all the way around my neck so the air wouldn't just flow out a flap in the side, which can be a problem with surgical masks and related products. This mask fits tight around the face, with a small opening for your ears, so its ideal if you're wearing a mask for the purpose of protecting the people around you, but don't want to wear something that's hard to breathe in or difficult to use during everyday activities. 11/10 would reccomend.
