Moby VS Ktan
This review reflects my own unbiased opinion and experience with the Moby VS the Baby K'Tan. I purchased both with my own money.Moby:Pros:-Instantly makes a crying baby go to sleep. Baby was very, very cozy in there.-Two side panels of newborn "hug" position allows to secure baby's head quite well against your chest. Better then the K'Tan can.-Because of the design and how you wrap it, baby ends up being very, very snug in there. Very well supported.-Very comfortable.Cons:-Suuuuuper long fabric does not make this a travel friendly wrap. If I wanted to take the baby to the store, I'd have to put the wrap on before leaving the house, then put baby in it once in the parking lot. The fabric is simply too long to don it in the parking lot.-Multiple fabric panels results in a very warm environment. I found baby had to be in a short sleeved onesie to maintain normal temp. This is in February, in Washington State, where it is chilly outside.-The long fabric design is also cumbersome when you want to put it on quickly at home (to soothe a screaming baby for example)Ultimately, I ended up purchasing a Baby K'Tan because i wanted something quicker and simpler to take on and off, and that was "put on in the parking lot" friendly. The K'Tan also makes my infant fall asleep very quickly. It is very easy to put on in under a minute but it is not as comfortable as my moby. Her head is not as well supported so I tend to have to keep one hand on her head if I am active while wearing it. I like that the K'Tan comes in Active and Breeze, which incorporates a mesh fabric that makes the whole thing a lot cooler to wear.Bottom line:Both are greatBoth put infant to sleep in very snug environmentMoby is more comfortable and I feel a bit more secure for baby, but a bigger pain to put on and not travel friendlyK'Tan is slightly less comfy, slightly less stable then the moby but compensates for that by being super convenient to put on and off.I will probably keep both, although I find myself using my K'Tan more.

Great for plus size!!
We love this wrap!! As a plus size mom and dad we were worried this wouldn't work for our body types but I wear it with extra room and I am a size 20-22 and my husband wears this wrap as well and he is 6.2 and wears a 4-5XLT and we have a big baby he's currently 12lbs and 23 inches !

This thing is AMAZING!
This is my honest opinion. When I first received the Moby, it came nicely packaged . It had an instruction manual on the various types of holds for you and baby . They were very simple to follow .The material was very soft and light (I got the Moby Bamboo, Charcoal in color) ...it didn't have any defects .Putting on the Moby was a breeze, as I stated earlier the instructions were easy to read . My baby girl LOVED IT. She is 4 months and about 14 pounds... the Moby gives great support so you don't feel pressure anywhere (like all in your back) the baby's weight is evenly distributed... I usually tie it together befor getting into the car so that way once I get her out of the car, I can put her in the Moby and go into the store, walk, etcI assure you not to get overwhelmed because it is a ton of material , but once you get to tying you will understand that it's just extra support . Taking baby out is just a breeze as putting her in with no trouble . You are able to wash , which is amazing and if you have a child like mine with eczema then you'd know you'd have to wash everything that comes in contact with their skin . She is quite comfy in the Moby, as it feels amazing against both mine and baby's skin. I will definitely be buying for my new mommy friends , oh and you can breastfeed in it ! Im still learning how, but baby wearing is amazing ! I hope my review helped !

never hated a product more than this
Sorry, never hated a product more than this. after trying for about an hour on 3 separate occasions, I just threw it in the trash. It's basically an expensive long ass piece of fabric that I could not ever get the hang of! I'd have to keep redoing it and baby would get pissed. No thank you, I'll stick with the Bjorn.

Very sturdy support for baby
Initially purchased a wrap that was a bit cheaper, but immediately regretted that as the fabric was too stretchy (it was like a jersey knit with 5% spandex). Immediately returned and looked for a wrap without spandex. Found the Moby and LOVE it. It's got just the right amount of give and stretch but provides excellent support for the baby. Only thing you should know is that the fabric is pretty thick so the baby gets pretty warm in the summer. Also the wrap is LONG so if you're putting it on in a public place the tails will drag on the floor until you get it fully wrapped (ewww). Otherwise, great!

Too complicated
Did not work for me. I am petite 5’1 and the wrap is just a super long piece of material. When I finally got it in place, my baby hated it, and felt like she was suffocating, because in order to keep baby in place it needs to be tight. I know a lot of moms love it and it is very popular, but for my and my baby it just did not work. Ended up buying the bjorn mini carrier and works perfectly and it is a lot easier to use.

Ehhhh
So my wife just had to have this when our daughter was born. I was trying to pinch some pennies, but she assured me that she needs this and she'll love it and use it all the time... Folks, I think I've only seen her use it twice in the 4 months my daughter has been on this earth. Its currently sitting on the floor next to her night stand, folded up. Now, that may not be case for other women, but for $35 I'm not thinking this is a good investment.

I don't know what I would've done without this.
I can't recommend this highly enough. The weight distribution is perfect and it's not difficult to tie. - Start with the middle by your belt buckle - Wrap both ends around your back and over each shoulder so it makes an "X" on your back - Make another "X" on your chest and tuck each end under the middle by your belt buckle - Wrap both ends around your waist until they meet at the front and tie themI don't expect you to use this as instructions but since some people have said it's difficult I thought I should point out that it isn't. I looked at the instructions once on the day I bought it, tied it right first time, and haven't looked again since. I'm not exactly good with knots either (I know two).On the bus during rush hour or rambling through the woods you're better off with one of these than a pram. It's also good if you like to have a chorus of girls saying "aw" as you walk around town.Remember to dress as if you're going out with a hot water bottle strapped to your chest or you'll be uncomfortable. Same goes for the baby.I can't compare it to other slings as this is the only one I've owned.

Happy baby, happy mummy
This totally changes things- you get your life back when you suddenly have both hands free! Its the best sling around, the baby is so safe and secure even if you bend over so you don't have to keep one hand on them. They love being snuggled up, sleep well even in the sling and it totally gets rid of reflux. Wind comes whistling up too. I had to do a long haul flight and took this with me- even with not very strong shoulders and back I had no aches and pains after carrying her in it for about 14 hours and she was blissfully happy (about 4 months old, overnight flight) having slept most of the night. Baby feels safe looking out at the world from the comfort of the sling, can hear your heart beat and smell you right there. Even though its only basically 5 or 6 meters of fabric, the way it is made and wraps up seems to distribute the weight well over your hips like a very expensive hiking rucksac would. Still don't know how it does this. It would be a lifesaver if you had a toddler already and a new baby and needed more flexibility. I often put it on going to the supermarket so I have my hands free to push the trolley. Amazing product, every new mum should be handed one as they leave the hospital!

Absolutely Brilliant
If I had to recommend one product for new mothers it would be this one. I ummed and ahhed about buying one because of the expense but it has been worth every penny. When nothing else will settle my little one I pop him in the wrap and 2 minutes later he'll be as happy as anything. Housework etc can be done with him in his wrap. I also had a c-section but find the wrap really comfortable to wear despite this and the weight seems to be much more evenly spread than with other types of sling which seem to put a strain on your back. We have done some lovely long walks with our little one wrapped up snug and happy. It also supports their head far better than any of the other slings i've tried. I'll be recommending this to any friends who are expecting in the future!

Too fiddly
Tricky to wrap it around , my baby looked squashed in it and I felt really hot . Very fiddly and takes too long to put it on . It just sits in a cupboard now as I didn’t like it ans prefer my babybjorn

Nice strong and comfy
I loved using this wrap when my daughter was a few months old, took a few practices to get it right but its easy once you remember it, and she seemed nice and snuggly and secure. I remember it made me quite warm so better to use during colder months.

Comfortable, but bulky, and HOT.
This carrier is very comfortable, and distributes baby's weight nicely, so you don't really feel the strain in any one part of your body. It's a bit tricky to put on at first, but with the help of some Youtube clips and a bit of practise, it gets easier. There is a LOT of fabric there though, so it's hard to put on without it all dragging on the ground, and if you're of a slim build you can feel very bundled up.I bought this to use with my first baby, but she was born in a massive heatwave, and wearing it just made us both unbearably hot, so it didn't get used. When my son came along (also in a heatwave) I tried again, but it was just too bulky, I couldn't get on with it, so I sold it.

Great starter wrap!
Hiya! This is a great 'starter/introduction' wrap. lets you get the swing of wraps and tying. the stretchy material has give so if you tie it too tight it can still be worked with. I went on to buy a woven wrap when little man was 3 months old as they offer more support for a growing baby (and can eventually be used on your back unlike this product) The colour is gorgeous and it's had lots of use by my friends too so worth every penny. don't expect to use it straight away though. it needs washing first as it smells like nail varnish remover. You tube has great videos to help with getting the swing of tying it. xxx

Not bad
This Moby wrap is made of good quality material, but I wish it was a bit stretchier, as my baby was not being wrapped that well. Thankfully I saw a youtube video which mentioned a stretchier wrap - the sleepy wrap, I went for it and it is perfect for newborns/young babies. My boy is nearly 8 months old now, and the Moby wrap is still in the cupboard being useless, I favour of the boba sling (sleepy wrap)... It is a shame I paid so much money to stay in the cupboard, and after reading many reviews. If I'd known... I wouldn't have purchased the Moby wrap.

Spreading the baby wearing love!
I don't normally write reviews, but this time I felt compelled to spread the baby wearing love! This might seem pricey but it is fantastic, and they hold their value really well, so over time it more than pays for itself! I'm on baby number 5 and how I wish I'd brought one before! It is a lovely way to carry your baby, it's easy to feed discretely but most importantly for me it is easy on the back, I've always suffered with a bad back, so I've never gotten on with other types of slings, but this one is so supportive I can wear her for hours without getting sore! I'd urge everyone to give one a try! :-)

Not as good as it makes out
Not as good as it makes out.the fabric goes very loose after a couple of wears and it IS confusing to put on... great if your baby is a happy one...pointless if your baby is a screamer and leaves you with little time to get it on.can be a fiddle to get a baby in..especially if baby is screaming away. Once baby is in though...worked a treat. Just not worth the hassle or cost for a screaming baby.

Too fussy
Bought this but thought it was far too complicated to use I had to watch a you tube video of how to wrap it each time I put it on, I had twins and one twin wanted to be constantly held which was difficult when I had another baby to see to, I normally needed this quickly and i just didn't get on with it very well. I think if I practiced more and maybe only had one baby to concentrate on it could have been usefull but I just didn't have the time for it

Fantastic product
I loved this when my children were babies, so soft and comfy for them. Now they are both at school but I just can't part with this wrap might try and turn it into a blanket or something for them. Well worth the money as still looks brand new 6 years later.

getting there
Bought this for my wife as we now have a two year old and our newborn son. She wanted something to get her through those periods where our son didn't seem to want to be put down but my wife still needed to get on with everyday life. She's learning and I'm sure it will be very useful going forward especially when he can support his own head.

For those people wanting a wrap because their little one ...
For those people wanting a wrap because their little one needs To feel their mummy, this is too complicated when you have 5 seconds to get it on before your little baby starts crying.
