Nylon vs Polyester --How to distinguish between nylon and polyester! 1 Appearance Polyester looks more dark,feels more rough than nylon. Nylon looks brighter,more smooth than polyester. 2 Burning Polyester has black smoke after burning,the residue can be crushed. Nylon has white smoke after burning,the residue into a plastic-like can not be crushed. 3 Cost Price The cost of nylon is twice of polyester's,but there practicality and durability is about the same,so the cost-effective of polyester is better.
