is the best! I have other Bodums but this is the best when rushing out the door. It keeps my coffee hot for a long time too.My only wish is that it was in brushed stainless (like the interior); it's a bit too 'brash' for my taste.

Love this device - gives me great-tasting rich coffee every time. Coffee stays nice and warm. Cleans up easily. Great ergonomics. Need to keep the screen clean to ensure the plunged pass-through is easy. Great product.Now if I can only find a Bodine replacement glass for my Bodum grinder.

I ordered this travel French press to replace my well-used, single serve glass Bodum after shattering the carafe. I liked the idea that this attractive device would keep my coffee piping hot during brewing, and it does. That is a plus. However, the plunger design is imperfect. Being just a tad too short, it does not plunge down quite far enough to press firmly against all the grounds. (I like a strong brew & use a full 3 Tbsp of coffee—not the 2 Tbsp as suggested.) But even with 3 Tbsps of medium-coarse grounds, because the stem of the plunger is too short, it doesn't fully reach the top of the grounds and there is always liquid coffee trapped underneath, post plunging. To get that trapped coffee into your cup, the plunger must be removed entirely and the coffee poured through a separate strainer. That separate strainer is required anyway, since a few grounds always manage to escape the plunger sides and get into the coffee, despite what appears to be a snug circumference-wise fit. Regardless of the trapped coffee issue, these floating grounds are a deterrent to using the device as a plunge-and-sip travel mug. So I am only giving 3 stars. The sleek, modern look of this item is pleasing to the eye, and one's coffee stays nice and hot while brewing. But practically speaking, I was hoping for something as efficient and convenient as my old classic glass Bodum.

t's not a new one. The bottom was open before I got it. You can tell this from the reset tag. I paid the stainless steel one with extra lid but got only the cheap plastic one with NO extra lid.
