This was very easy to work with and install. We were able to manipulate the sheet in a small way that maximized where the heat goes so everywhere your foot can touch is heated and the wasted spaces are not. 170 watts for an 8 foot stretch. Granted it’s a small bathroom but it works really well. Also, it’s enough to keep the room comfortable with door closed as there is no ducting in that room (we use a wood stove as primary and a mini split as secondary for rest of home)

Bought a small mat through the Amazon open box sellers so it was pretty inexpensive. I had used another brand for my kitchen and had a small spot leftover so I grabbed this and linked it to the same line as the other one. This one, albeit more expensive, definitely generates more heat than the other brand.

We used this during a remodel of a small bathroom. Installation was simple using the included instructions. Generous amount of wire to reach power source/thermostat. Coupling this heating mat with their Sun Touch stat Model 500850 you won't be sorry! Holds to exact temps you program, even does night/day time setback as your schedule requires!

Has been very effective. As to ease of installation, in fairness-- my husband is a master electrician so a piece of cake for him.

I have this product installed in one of my bathrooms and love it. Ordered another one for a master bathroom remodel project. Construction delays caused a time line extension before installation. At that point in the project it was discovered the heating mat was too large. Reordered through amazon after they assured me the reseller would authorize a return. The reseller (Terazzo & Marble Supply Company) stood staunchly behind their 30 day return policy, with no option for direct communications with a real person. Apparently Customer Service is not part of the reseller 's mission. Will reconsider my rating if contacted by the Amazon reseller.

Purchased this with the wifi programmable panel. Had some problems finding a qualified electrician familiar with installing in DC area but found one who was very helpful in figuring out how much to order and understanding the product and care needed during install, overlay of tile and general use. Ordered enough for a path from the wall panel across the front of the vanity and step down from the steam shower into just under the toilet in the water closet. Product arrived pretty quickly for small delay in finishing bathroom build out. The second hardest thing to find was the Watts app to operate the panel to turn on the heated matting. And reseting passwords when you forget the one you set up!

We replaced the flooring in our two bathrooms with heating elements under new "daltile (greenworks)" tile. One bathroom we used SunTouch, and the other Detra-heat. Both were installed on a cement floor by a paid professional.What we found:SunTouch was about half the price of Detra-heat.SunTouch took about two to three times longer to heat the floor. (Probably because there was no insulation under the "tape mat". This may be different on a wood flooring.) And this may add to the cost of electricity in operating it over the years.Installation of SunTouch took an extra day because the "tape mat" needed to set before the new tile could be laid on top. (This was not the case with Detra-heat.) So, this added to the final cost and made SunTouch more expensive to install.SunTouch comes with a DIY Installation Manual. (This would help with costs.)Yes, getting heated bathrooms floors exceeded my expectations!
