I am impressed with the quality of the materials used and the buttons are satin covered,with the full back comprising of satin fabric in a paisley pattern . There are no lapels and a deep u-shape cut that accent the pleated front and studs of a classic tuxedo shirt beneath.I ordered a large from a medium as I was at the high end of the sizing . I am a proponent of the Classic Tuxedo style and this waistcoat adds versatility to the upper echelon of Men's Formal Attire. I highly recommend this waistcoat. I wear this waistcoat to many events ( Taiko performances to Ballroom Dance Gala's to Black Tie occasions) and have received many a compliment. It is now my preference over the cummerbund .
