24VAC 40VA Plug in Transformer,Doorbell Transformer Compatible with All of Doorbell，Nest, Ecobee, Sensi and Honeywell Thermostat

It works as expected, and it was very easy to set up — wind the wires around each terminal and screw them tight. Unlike my old "24V" adapter, this one is powerful enough to supply the juice needed to support "Pre-recording" on my Eufy Video Doorbell E340

Working great to power my 3 zone TACO SR503 switching relay setup with 3 nest power connectors. I have a two wire setup (R and W) only and this can provide power to my Nest Thermostats no problem.

Easy to install, came fast.

My last AC transformer was way under voltage, this one fixed my doorbell. Running this over 50ft of 18 gauge (new) & 75ft of cat-3 cable (old) joined together to power a Ubiquiti G4 Doorbell pro. Works great :-) This transformer is sold as 24VAC but actually outputs 29VAC when measured by multimeter. The doorbell is working great since installing, but took one star off for being over 10% out of spec. Buyer beware, this could destroy poorly built electronics that can’t handle a little more than 24V

I bought this because the transformer for our current doorbell, hung "conveniently" waaaay up in the attic, was only about 12 volts (according to my multimeter). The Arlo Video Doorbell will NOT work with a 12 volt transformer, it requires a 24 volt transformer. 1) I bought 18/2 wire at Home Depot for the installation 2) the transformer comes with a bolt in it. That didn't work for me as the outlet I needed to use is a GFCI outlet which doesn't have a middle bolt hole, so I had to use a small (6 inch) extension cord from the GFCI outlet to the transformer. The bolt on this transformer is NOT easily removeable as the housing of the transformer blocks the bolt's removal. If your outlet doesn't have have a spot for the bolt, you will need a workaround like I used. 3) the Arlo Video Doorbell has specific instructions for using a plug-in transformer instead of the transformer found in my attic. You MUST, and I quote, "select None as the Traditional Chime option to avoid any damage to your plug-in AC power adapter". 4) this plug-in transformer will not require the Power Kit that comes with the Arlo Video Doorbell unless you use a chime along with the Video Doorbell.

I have three now for Ring doorbell cameras, all work well. The oldest must be well over a year old. This is a product I would expect to last for many years if not abused by overloading the output or use outdoors.

Lasted 3 days. Completely dead. Very inconvenient since this powered the circuit board for a driveway gate. Of course I had thrown packaging away, which was very poor. I plan to crack it open to determine issue. Do not buy if needed for more than a doorbell.
