The brush itself is thick, wide, strong -- but the prongs for making it fit into the pole are wonky and don't work. With some engineering and ingenuity I have reshaped the holes for the prongs and it appears to fit and work.

I only write reviews when I’m exceedingly happy with or unhappy with a product. This brush has exceeded my expectations. I have an inground fiberglass pool and had a bad green algae problem this season. My usual nylon brush had a hard time with it, and even when I thought it was clean, the algae would reappear the next day. I tried everything to treat it to no avail, until I finally decided to go with a coarser brush. This thing does shed bristles as other reviews have said, but I don’t care about that. What I do care about is that after I used it, my pool has been algae free ever since. This brush scraped it off with ease and didn’t damage the finish on my pool or scratch the fiberglass at all. It completely solved my problem so that’s why I’m writing this. If you have a stubborn algae problem, don’t hesitate to get this and take care of it.

Why they didn't think of this design before?! With the old style you had to have the position of the pole at a certain angle in order for the bristles to be perpendicular to the pool wall (for best scrubbing results). With THIS brush, it's the perfect position no matter what angle your pole is at. Makes brushing the pool WAY easier. Never going back to the old style.

Very durable brush for the money I bought several of them they were great

Buyer beware! Do not buy unless you want to spend an hour or two skimming bristles out of your pool. As others have said, after having the brush for less than a year, with very little use, the bristles fall off copiously. Spend a little more for a quality brush. This is not the one.

Just had our pool resurfaced and this brush has held up to the challenge of 3 full pool brushed per day. The bristles are strong and the size fits the need.

Let’s be honest. The quality we have come to expect from overseas factories is serviceable. I realize that forcing the end user to assemble this brush means they can ship more of them in a smaller space. But, I can almost guarantee that the first place this brush will fail is the end caps breaking off.I will spend more next time and expect more.
