Jovi Home Safari Shaggy Rug 8-Foot-by-10-Foot, Black/White

I second the other review. It does NOT look like the photo, so I added an image (CHECK IT OUT.) It is not a traditional "shag" but an ultra contemporary take on a shag -- may be exactly what you were looking for...not what we wanted. It is kind of "scraggly" in other words, it has spots that you can see thru to the backing. It has some really long rug pieces (see the image I uploaded) that are unusual. We will probably keep it, but it needs a pad because it is very thin and my daughter wants to lie on it (while watching movies in her room.) If I had purchased it from a local store, we would have returned it, because we really wanted a softer shag; but we think we are going to keep it. Again, my image is more accurate than the stock Amazon image...so check it out first. Hope this helps.

Do not buy this expecting it to look like the picture!The picture looks like a black backing with black shag carpet with white flecks, but in person it had white backing with sparce black shag with white flecks. it looks like an inch of snow over tall black grass. The actual black shag pieces were very spaced out, think balding man with a comb over. The capet is not comfortable either. the longer shag pieces are so few and far between that you basically feel the individual knots against the backing. Amazon did do a return with no problems though and even sent a driver to pick it up so while i cannot recommend this carpet I can recommend them as a seller.
