Barnett 1108 Vortex H2O Youth Archery Bow, 31-45-Pound,Blue

The bow is lightweight, pairs easily with an AMS reel, leaving room for tactical stabilizer for tactical light, has a great draw weight, feels good for construction, fire very well. I'll give it one drawback - the arrow guide (part of the bow not attachment) popped off right away. Glued it back on though so I don't care about that too much. I kept the sight on because... it's mine now, though I don't use it for bowfishing honestly. It fits under the AMS real, so heck, why not - maybe I'll just see if I'm missing anything in daylight I can improve on with. The arrow rest I got a biscuit - the arrow I have is too heavy so I'll have to swap it out but I don't like the arrow rest it came with so far.Overall the bow itself does fire quite well, and accurately. The finish comes off easily, but meh, any bow would do that for 100 bucks. If the AMS reel wasn't so expensive I'd buy another one of these to fully get rid of my backup recurve bow. The recurve has a quick draw and snap benefit, but this bow is light enough on draw I'll gladly part with the recurve on the right price.

Great bow for bowfishing. Just buy it knowing that you will be needing to add accessories for bowfishing. The arrow rest and sight can be tossed. You’ll need a new rest, reel, and arrow. I bought it as a back-up to my PSE recurve for friends to use but like it so much, it’s now my primary bow.

I currently use this bowfishing bow and love it. I was concerned that the would be cheaply made b/c of the price but that was not the case at all. Granted that this isn't a top of the line bow, but for the price, you can't beat it. I haven't had a single issue with the bow for many trips that it has been used. The bow isn't very adjustable, but it landed in the exact area of draw length and poundage that I needed/wanted so it wasn't an issue. I'm 6' 200+lbs and shoot a shorter draw length for bowfishing. The arrow rest and sights that come with it are extremely cheap and they were tossed soon as I received the bow. That really wasn't an issue though as I don't use sights for bowfishing and picked up a really nice rest for $35. Overall I have been extremely happy with this bow and glad I purchased it instead of spending the $300-$400+ for a different bow.

This bow is an awesome bow, and the price is unbeatable. I am an adult male that normally shoots a 29 in. draw with a hunting bow, so the shorter draw lengths are perfect for bow fishing without a sight. The arrow rest, however, doesn't do any justice. I had to shave about a 1/4 of an inch of plastic to allow it to line up for a straight shot, but I haven't had a problem out of it. I can't tell much difference between the Cajun Sucker Punch and this bow.

Unlike other compound bows from Barnett, if you want to change the draw length on this bow, you need a bow press. This particular bow also arrived poorly packaged and slightly damaged. Returning and switching for the non fishing version of the Barnett Vortex, which is easily adjustable with supplied extra cams.

Have used for quillbacks, gar, suckers. works well. Fast maneuvering bow. Up graded the rest with an AMS tidal wave rest.

Kids really enjoyed bow fishing with their pops!
