Nautilus Paperback – August 10, 2015

After recently rereading 20,00 Leagues under the Sea, really wanted more. This was an enjoyable read.

So So story

I can sum this up in one word. "Impressive." What a great adventure.

Nice continuation of the nautilus story and fills in a lot of what happened to the underwater boat.

As much as I love the idea of this. The author adds way to much extra stuff that makes it very boring.

Once I started reading, I could not set this novel down. I like the choice in main character, someone often overlooked or misunderstood, someone after understanding rather than fame, someone who can keep his mouth shut about what he knows, someone who notices details, and someone who cares. I like the complexity of the Nautilus storyline, a nice epic touch. I like the sexuality of healthy and active human beings. I like the adventure, international travel, diverse locales. I like the pace, and the pauses. I laughed at the Darwinian twist. I still worry about the unimagined results of the two particularly strong characters who live on after the novel ends. I like leaving the some sites as open questions. This novel has people, real people, it has places all over the globe, it has travel, it has adventure, it has science and technology, it has politics, it has archeology and the search for understanding, it villains and violence, and it has good winning sometimes. I enjoyed reading a complex tale well written.

A great novel - almost read like a reality TV documentary, which to me is a good thing. The story covered a tremendous amount of factual information, and I enjoyed how the author allowed your imagination to fast forward just a few years into the future. Great read for history or scientific-type nonfiction readers like me. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
