Yes, it is compatible with the current 4G net. I did upgrade my purchased unit with a microSD card.

Can this phone be used Internationally

Is this smarthphone explossion proof?

Short answer no. It is rated as non-incendive which is really safe but not "intrinsically safe." Long answer: Non-Incendive ratings signify that while under normal conditions, instrument circuits are incapable of causing ignition of the hazardous atmosphere. Intrinsically safe equipment represents “equipment and wiring which is incapable of releasing sufficient electrical or thermal energy under normal or abnormal conditions to cause ignition of a specific hazardous atmospheric mixture in its most easily ignited concentration.” A non-incendive device maybe used in POTENTIALLY combustible or flammable environments where warning systems are in place to alert workers of suddenly increasing danger of combustion. Example: most underground mines have the potential to accumulate enough flammable gas to become explosive, but systems are in place including ventilation and gas detectors to reduce that risk. A methanol distillery can potentially have enough alcohol vapors to explode. But under normal operation conditions you may carry and use a non-incendive radio in all normally accessed areas. You may use this phone while refueling any vehicle with liquid fuel (in most states you can still be cited for using other handheld radios at the pump). You should not use this phone while refueling compressed gas cylinders such as LPG, CNG. You may not use this handset while filling, connecting, transporting by manual means, or using in an enclosed or unimproved space certain gases: H2, Liquid O2, acetylene and others. On the other hand, even with ventilation and warning systems, grain silos, flour mills, natural gas pipeline operations, and ammunition primer assembly areas require either intrinsically safe devices or internally pressurized devices that continually eject the dangerous atmosphere away from its circuitry. Lake City Ammunition Assembly plant in Independence, Missouri has 8 buildings where primers and detonators are manufactured or installed into their final product (explosive or incendiary ammo, hi energy rounds like .50 cal or 20mm) these buildings actually have a 50 meter exclusion zone where even intrinsically safe electronics are restricted.

poor support in getting the phone to work

the phone was received in good condition but unfortunately could not be used as it was SIM locked and nobody could assist in getting it unlocked. Even called Sonim directly and they could not assist due to it being a refurbished unit. It's just plain dumb to sell something and no one can unlock the SIM PIN

Very rugged phone

Bought for my son's first phone, he is 10 and rough on electronics. Battery life is good, phone is as advertised. The shortcut key software is very limited for the external buttons, couldn't even program it to turn on the flashlight.

Best phone I've ever owned.

What a pleasure to use. Great design and tough as nails. I can't find anything to complain about with this phone and I've owned many through the years, of which I unfortunately can't say the same. If you need it, buy it. Built like a tank. Looks and acts brand new.

Stuck in KIOSK mode

Phone was in good condition, however factory reset by seller did not remove kiosk mode, and after starting to install new apps I was locked out of the phone and unable to use it.

The phone hardware is nice and as expected. However purchased as “renewed” but had an MDM lock.

Looks brand new, Works great

Very pleased with my purchase. The phone looks brand new and works great. Battery life/total charge seems unaffected which was nice as other refurb phones I've purchased in the past from others had significant total battery life issues. Great deal for a virtually new phone that AT&T is charging $700+ for.
