Junk steel that did not hold up to .300 or .308 bullets
This 1/2" target was advertised as AR500, but appears to be soft steel. Although this target will hold up to small caliber pistol rounds, the first time shooting it with .300 BLK and .308 destroyed it, even though the velocity of both bullets were well below what this target should have handled. Note the 3/8" inch deep holes and the warping of the steel caused by the .300 BLK and .308 bullets in the included pictures. During the same shooting session, the same rifles and same ammo was used to shoot another 3/8" AR500 target (not from this seller)...it suffered ZERO damage. I recommend staying away from this line of targets.

Definitely worth every penny. Will be ordering a lot more!
The best price for the 3/8" 66% target and holds up great. I let freedom ring July 4th on this thing with about 100+ rounds of .223 and 200 rounds of 9mm and it performed great. I ran drills switching from AR to sidearm from probably 35-40 yards and .223 barely caused any damage. There's VERY TINY divots where the .223 hit so it can definitely take the hits under 100 yards, but for safety concerns they have to say 100 yards. Make sure to wear proper PPE and ANGLE YOUR TARGETS. I made my own stands and put this one on a very deep angle to deflect shrapnel down to the ground. Had no issues with ricochets. Yes the mounting holes are crap but I used my own grade 8 bolts and had no problem. Be smart with these targets and they'll perform great. Going to order a lot more of these soon.

What?
Don't give a crappy review because you didn't read what you were buying, that's your fault.

Great!
These things, for the cost, are great. Local places sell seemingly identical targets for much much more than this. The pictured targets were hung with cheap chain, from a stand made from plumbing fittings and some scrap pipe. And they work great. They’ve held up to being hit with 9mm, .225/556, .308/7.62, 6.5 gren and even a few 458 Socoms. Having them hanging I think makes them last longer than sag a ridid T post, as it doesn’t resist the force. One of the 458s gave the yellow one a slight bow, and there’s some deep dents on orange from 308. But these still have TONs of life left.I also have the 4” gongs that are all just as sturdy. I believe the 4” may be a little more so, as it’s less length isn’t as likely to bow. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as hearing that “PING” letting you know (and everyone around) the shot was good. 5 stars, will be getting a few more.

Very dissapointed
Large deep holes in the 1/2" steel target the very first time it was used from cheap federal .223 ammo at over 100yds. My other ar500 targets barely have scratches from the same distance with the same rounds.

High quality steel target!
Steel target came painted black as advertised. We painted ours white to be seen better with burn backdrop. 100 yards from barn and every shot just melted off target. So far no pits PTL!

Buyer beware
Like: Serves it's intended purposeDislikes: The square holes for hanging the target are not square with the rest of the target, they look like they were hand cut. Some of the bottom edges on the rest of the target had a sharp edge. All of these issues I fixed but that's not the point, I shouldn't have had to. Overall poor worksmanship and attention to detail
