Great performance! Great price!
Used on our RV battery to keep it charged and it works amazingly! On a cloudy and occasionally rainy day, it will charge the battery from dead to full. Super impressed and it was an easy install!

Works well
I use this panel to charge a 35ah battery that powers LED driving lights, that I installed in our livestock barn. It's overkill for the battery but was actually cheaper than the 50w model. It works well, controller works well too. Be sure to put spacers between controller and mounting wall, it has a heatsink on back and needs some airflow.I did not us the mounts, they wouldn't work for the location I picked out (wasn't going to put holes on my roof)Fair price, quick shipping, fairly simple install, controller took a little fiddling around to figure out the screen/settings but nothing to difficult.I'm sure this would easily charge a much larger battery.I did not want to run power out to lights from the controller, I'm sure it would work fine for one or two, but we will eventually have four switches and eight lights.

Off the grid enjoyment!
For our rv it was the perfect match. Produced the power need, to supply power to the batteries, so we could stay off grid without a time limit, to return home. In our case it was amazing how well the solar system worked.

No bracket mounting instructions
Panel frame is light and some minor cosmetic damage noted after unboxing. There are zero instructions for mounting brackets and holes are NOT pre-drilled. This kit would basically be plug and play if you get past figuring out where to mount onto panel and where to drill holes for mounting bolts.

Excellent starter solar kit - everything you need
I bought this kit to strap to the roof of my excursion, which has about a dozen lights that drain the battery every time you open a door, and consequently will kill my battery if left unchecked. This setup isn't ideal for a smaller vehicle - a flexible panel would be better suited, but my roof rack has plenty of room for the full-size panel. I bought the 'RV kit' with plastic corner pieces that mount to your application, and they would indeed work well on a larger RV roof. You won't get amazing performance from a single 100w panel, but even on cloudy days it'll hit 13+ volts with what amounts to a trickle charge, which is more than enough to keep my battery healthy. The actual installation wiill depend on your application, but you can't really get it wrong - the plugs and included wires are black and red, and everything just plugs into the voltage regulator. You'll need to route these wires to your battery somehow, and honestly, the included battery leeds are fairly long but you might need to get longer cables because they're not really long enough to get creative with your wiring. But since it's a low-voltage DC system, any decent copper wire bigger than like 10 guage should be enough to work.YMMV but this little kit is simple and spare, there's not a bunch of extra crap to worry about - you just mount the panel and plug everything in. Depending on your needs, it won't take long to get it all working. A single panel is not enough to run a large power inverter, but these panels are basically infinitly expandable with the right wiring, so once you have the 20A regulator, you can add like 6 panels without needed to upgrade. good luck, and may you have sunny skies out there!

PV fails just after a month
Easy to set up, worked great for 4 weeks then the change controller stopped working. Bought this kit because I just wanted an easy all in 1 to deploy. In the end I'm going to have to buy a better charge controller. For about double the price you can get a 200w solar panel and a mppt type charge controller with tons more features than this kit. I bought a Topsolar 50w kit for my gate almost a year ago, that still works great, not sure why this unit failed so soon. Now that it's past the 30 day return I have no recourse, the solar panel still works and outputs within spec, so at least it's not a total loss. Going to try out the AMPINVT 40A MPPT controller with this kit with a few more 100w panels. So far, in my case, with Topsolar products it's a 50/50 if their products fail after a month of 24x7 use. If you like the convenience of all-in-1s, I recommend getting a kit with a mppt type charge controller rather than a pv, they have more features and are better quality.
