Great Drive but not the best, go buy the Samsung EVO 960 NVMe
This is a great hard drive, small but blazing fast. I bought it for my own PC build at home and the (Windows 10) PC boots up in 10 seconds (after performing the POST). It is unbelievably fast. Having said that I only bought this after looking at incorrect information comparing the speed of this against the equivalent Samsung model (Samsung 960 EVO M.2-2280 250GB PCI Express 3.0 x4 NVMe Solid State Drive ) and as the Samsung is both faster and cheaper I would have to opt for the Samsung if I making another purchase. Either way you get a super fast hard drive to load up large files / programs.

Does what it says, it's kinda difficult to put it in its place with the small screwdriver though, so you might wanna get your tweezers ready

Prestazioni scarse e breve vita.
Mi sono lasciato guidare da una recensione di Tom's H che ha messo il prodotto tra i best buy tra gli ssd pcie,Appena acquistato ho installato windows 10 pro 64 bit e aggiornato. Prima delusione i Benchmark davvero deludenti. Attenzione e backup/immaginev

Best Value NVME SSD on the market!
Fast, I installed on my X79 Rampage IV Gene - i7 4930Kto able to boot on it you need Windows 10 for easy native support and modded bios to boot nvme ssd.**only microsoft nvme driver available** Make sure for settings in the drive turn off write cache buffering for best perfomance in NVME PICTURE BELOW!!Compare to Samsung 960 Evo it this fast enough. No SLC caching unlike 960 Evo when its cache is full, the performance drops.Temps wise this is a little warm not too hot, if you are paranoid of overheating get heatsinks or small fan beside it.Faster than my aging Kingston hyperX 3k. Best value for the money until something comes cheap and fast.! Recommended 240GB OR 480GB!!!

Hot but fast!
First time buying anything from this manufacturer but so far I'm pleasantly surprised! Speeds are right up there with the specs on the product page! I can transfer to and from my SSD and am only throttled by my Sata SSD and not this. Windows 10 loads in 4 seconds flat! The only thing I've found a little worrisome is the temputeratures this hits. Hard disk sentinel is reporting 57-59c on the card without heavy transferring of files. Upon heavier use today under full load the NVMe hit a whopping 67c! That's pretty hot! If this was a hdd it would have fried by now! I know safe temperatures are below 70c (it is silicon) but I'd like to see a passive low pro heatsink or something as an add-on just to reduce temperatures to around 45c.

Must buy!
This is a must buy for every person who is looking for a NVME M.2 SSD. I called in to the customer care for my queries and they helped me a lot. Guys who are going to buy an SSD this is a way better choice! It competes with the Samsung 950 EVO.My laptop (ASUS GL502VM) now switches on in 5 seconds tops!!Installed Windows 10 on it in 15 mins.My bechmarking resultsRead: 2599MBpsWrite: 1328MBpsIn short if anyone want a blazingly fast SSD with cheapest rates should go for this drive!

Bon Prix / Bonnes Perf

Good performance for a good price.
Some things to keep in mind/look into if you're interested in a NVMe SSD:1) If you wish to use this as a bootable drive, ensure your motherboard has NVMe support. This may require flashing a more recent version of the BIOS or manually patching it in.2) Using it in Windows may require a hotfix update to add NVMe support. I can't say for other operating systems, however.3) If your motherboard lacks an M.2 slot you will need a PCIe adapter card. Ensure the adapter you buy has NVMe support -- don't confuse it with similar looking items like one that supports M.2 SATA.4) If you want the highest possible speeds, make sure the PCIe slot you intend to use supports the 3.0 specification and is at least a 4x lane. Older (or cheaper) motherboards may use the 2.0 specification on extra PCIe slots, and/or may only be a 1x or 2x lane.NOTE: Even if the PCIe slot isn't optimal, a 2.0 4x lane slot will still perform around two times faster than a SATA III SSD. Optimal performance will put it around four times faster than a SATA III SSD.As other reviewers have mentioned, this item is currently the best performing NVMe SSD for the price. It also comes with a five year limited warranty which is better than what other NVMe SSD brands provide. If you're looking for a NVMe SSD for a good price and don't care about wanting the maximum possible speed it's hard to find something that beats this one.

Solid performer, controller clearly runs hot though
The MyDigitalSSD is a solid performer and takes the speed crown at 2.4 GByte/sec best-case random read of uncompressable data. It has pretty consistent results and I would rank it in the top quartile but below the Samsung and the Plextor M8Pe. The reason I rank it below is primarily for two reasons. First, the QD1 sequential read test is poor, but more importantly the controller clearly runs hot... too hot.The controller quickly throttles that speed crown down to 1.5 GBytes/sec at around 80C, and the temperature continues to climb under the random read load until it finally caps out at 100C. 100C is too hot. At that point the read test has dropped to 1.1GByte/sec whereas the Plextor can push 1.6 GBytes/sec for much longer before throttling. I think the MyDigitalSSD has something going here, giving us a third mainstream controller technology in the consumer market, but they have some work to do on managing the controller's temperature.I will conditionally recommend this part as long as you don't use it in a mobile device, with the provisio that both the Samsung NVMe devices and the new Plextor M8Pe series are better. Consider buying a third party heat sink for this device if you purchase it (it doesn't come with one and it should). If you are looking for heavy load handling, consider the Samsung or Plextor NVMe devices instead (or find a good heat sink for this one).Remember that high temperatures are a major contributor to early flash failure. The MyDigitalSSD is not doing you any favors by running this hot, so be aware of your use case. I like the fact that they went out on a limb using a third mainstream controller (the Phison), but they have more work to do on temperature management. Note that my tests were in a PCIe slot, not a mobile device, and there was plenty of cooling in the case. Does not flag condition but does clearly throttle. However, temperature continues to climb up to 100C before the throttling stabilizes it (at which point the read test is only doing 1.1 GBytes/sec). That is too hot and the main reason for giving it only 3 stars. See other comments. * Controller clearly runs hot under load. * Additional note, some reviews indicate that the reported temperature is for the controller chip itself, but I put my finger on all the chips and frankly they were all excessively hot. The controller query is returning a second temperature sensor so it is unclear if both represent the controller... that said, if they do, it means the controller is not monitoring the flash chip temperature which is just as important, which would be a similar black mark.nvme5: <NVME-PCIe> mem 0xc7400000-0xc7403fff irq 34 at device 0.0 on pci3nvme5: mapped 8 MSIX IRQsnvme5: NVME Version 1.2 maxqe=65536 caps=000000203c03ffffnvme5: Model BPX BaseSerial 8B7107720F0823024374 nscount=1nvme5: Request 64/32 queues, Returns 7/7 queues, rw-sep map (7, 7)nvme5: Interrupt Coalesce: 100uS / 4 qentriesnvme5: Disk nvme2 ns=1 blksize=512 lbacnt=468862128 cap=223GB serno=8B7107720F0823024374-1xeon126# nvmectl info nvme5nvme5: crit_flags: none comp_temp: 100C LIFE_LEFT: 100% (0% used) read_bytes: 1228G write_bytes: 34385M read_cmds: 30167k write_cmds: 1049k busy_time: 12 min (0.20 hrs) powon_hours: 1 power_cyc: 2 unsafe_shut: 1 UNRECOV_ERR: 0 err_log_ent: 0 warn_temp_time: 0 min (0.00 hrs) crit_temp_time: 0 min (0.00 hrs) temp_sensors: 105C
