Professional Wax Brush - Great for Chalk Paint & Wax - Crafting Zen (2" Diameter)

So I recently decided to redo my bathroom cabinets. I refurbish furniture but have always stained and used poly vs chalk paint. After one of my friends raved about Annie Sloans chalk paint I caved and decided I would try it out. I bought the actual Annie Sloan paint brush but did not buy her wax brush. The thought of paying $50 for just one brush was ridiculous. I used her brand to paint and these brushes to wax. Before I waxed I made sure to prep my brushes. Real big emphasis on this because if you don't prep them before hand it can be a heartache trying to pull out hairs from your art piece. Anyway, the brushes shed a lot during the initial cleaning. When I finally used them to wax I had to keep pulling off bristles from my cabinets. The brushes feel very well made but one thing I noticed between the Annie Slone and these brushes was that they are hollow. You have great coverage but the middle of the brush is hollow so it's not as dense as I would have hoped. Overall they did a decent job and if I was painting something small like a picture frame I would totally recommend these. If you're painting something large with lots of detail I would personally splurge on the Annie Sloan brushes and save myself some time. My cabinets came out great but I'm going to buy an AS brush and do a few more coats of wax.

Good brush. Great for waxing over chalk paint. It did start looking a bit worn with bent bristles about halfway through my first project, but I'mhoping it will last at least onemore project.

The reviews that I read before purchasing this brush said that the bristles did not come out....however mine looses many bristles. I used it to apply wax over chalk paint. I'm still happy with it but hope that the bristles do not continue to come out as much with future uses.

The brush did the job but the bristles on the brush came off on the furniture being painted.

Wonderful brush and easy to work with! I purchased Renaissance chalk paint to refinish some basement cabinets, and I'm very pleased with the results.

The bristles on this brush definitely come off in the paint.

Bristles were not really what I was expecting. Feel like plastic but usable and probably my fault by not reading description.

Great brush, painted entertainment built ins and kitchen cabinets and used this for the wax top coat, only lost one bristle. Would recommend!
