I like this retro rocket pin that's about 1.75 inches long from the top of the rocket to the bottom of the flame coming out the bottom. I think this has a lot of appeal to women interested in science, rockets, science fiction, etc. just as much as for men or boys. This is pinned on with an attached pin that's on the back. The pin is a shorter type of what I think of as a safety pin although the top does not lock, but this does fasten securely. I like the design and colors of this rocket pin. The main color is what I would describe as a subdued gray blue. There is also red accents and white. It does remind me of mid-twentieth century ideas about what rockets looked like. My rating is 4 stars for although I like this a lot, there are some sloppy details in the painting where the white in the flame spills over just a tad into the blue border plus there's a flaw in the white part of the top of the rocket. Since this is quite small, perhaps no one would examine this as closely when I'm wearing it, but it makes me deduct a star from my rating.

This Kingpin rocket pin comes in a folded paper box that is done in an attractive print style and would be suitable for gift giving if the pin was mounted on a presentation board or something inside, a piece of black foam at least. I think this is where kingpin misses a style point, the pin is tossed into a plastic bag and thrown into the box. The multicolored rocket pin is painted in a cloisonne-type appearing finish. The actual finish of the paint is well done, except for a little bit of a misplaced paint drop on the flame in this case. The back of the pin has an actual spring-loaded pin clip, not a tie tack type pin, and the casting has the number d244 cast into it. I'm not sure what that signifies unless that's just a part number for them.If the fit and finish were a little better on this pin, and the presentation box just a little bit classier, this would have been a hit out of the ballpark. As it is, I feel I am stretching giving this four stars.

This is a well made pin and is perfect for anyone interested in aviation and/or space.This pin is 2D and will sit flat against a tie or whatever you pin it to. My son likes rockets, so this can go on his backpack or hat.The pin has an open/close type back. Not the single pin w/a back fastener that most lapel pins tend to have. The pin back is small and a bit hard to get on because it's such a short piece to work with.This pin comes in a cute little gift box, so it's perfect for an Easter basket or Christmas stocking.

Red, white and blue lapel pin great for space enthusiasts. Makes a nice stocking stuffer or Advent calendar insert (always looking for small things to put in there). The red, white and blue theme would also work for 4th of July. At my son's elementary school lots of the kids put pins or patches on their backpacks, and even trade them, so this is nice addition to his collection. Decent size and quality, and comes in a small box for gift giving.

This is cute and perfect for my husband who works in aerospace. It felt cheaper than I hoped for, very plasticy feeling, but seems to be good condition. The pin works fine though it doesn't look like it works stand up to heavy use. Best to place it somewhere and leave it there.

This is a cute, retro costume jewelry pin. It looks good on a lapel or as a decorative accessory on a bag or purse. I sm scifi fan, so a rocket-style spaceship pin is a logical choice for me.

I got this pin for my 13-year-old son who is really intro rocketry. The retro rocket is very cute and simple. My only criticism is that the pin on the back is a bit small and flimsy.
