Made to order lovely Paper Quilled Letter Y in a frame for wall decoration. HOW IT'S MADE? The letter is a combination of 3 different paper techniques - quilling, embossing and precise cutout! I'm sure you're familiar with the last two so let me explain what is quilling -it's an art that involves hand-rolling thin strips of paper. Then they are glued and shaped to create decorative designs. The quilling paper is only 3mm ( ⅛ ʺ) wide. The letter consists of two layers. First, paper circles are hand-rolled and placed on a circle board to make sure that all of them are even sizes (there are two sizes of the circles). Then I glue them onto the bottom paper. I cut out the letter with a scalpel on a lovely embossed paper with a floral design. Finally, the top layer of embossed paper is glued on top of the circles creating a 3-dimensional look of the letter. You may have a sneak peek on the actual making process in the last photo. THE FRAME The frame can be hung (you simply need a nail in your wall ) or stand alone as there is a paper stand at the back.
