Impressive! Very good fit and finish. Uniformly hollow-ground and very sharp. Sturdy, balanced weight distribution, hefty, thick spine, and strong. Blade geometry and shape lend to versatility in tasks. Comfortable grip. Substantial G10 scales with just the right amount of friction. Thumb ramp and quillons offer protection and comfort. Manoeuvres very well. Included lanyard cords, and a cloth to wipe the blade, are thoughtful and handy. Quite attractive in appearance. Nicely packaged. Blade arrived oiled. A protective insert included with the leather sheath would be beneficial. Also, given the size and weight of the blade, double-stiched leather would be more appropriate for the sheath. And the current placement of the snap loop on the sheath makes it prone to getting sliced while removing or sheathing the knife. Overall though, impressive! Update: Performs quite remarkably at dehusking fresh coconuts for drinking the refreshing water contained!!

This knife is really well made. Heavy, sharp, cool composite grip, appears to have proper balance. Nice piece to add to your collection.

The fixed (fixed blade) hunting knife was well made with attention to details that make the item much appreciated when needed. It has a capable sheath, I would purchase the item again.

I've been looking for a decent survival/bushcraft knife and this is a winner for the price I can afford. Be aware, this is a fairly heavy knife and has a very thick spine. That's what I'm looking for since I want something that I know can take punishment, but the weight won't be for everyone. So far it has held up, I've chopped and stabbed it into logs and can still shave hair afterwards. I like the kukuri shape since it puts weight forward to make it an effective chopper. The handle could be a better fit, but my hand doesn't slip much if at all during heavy use. When stabbing a log my finger does ram uncomfortably into the small guard, however that was expected. I wanted that guard there to prevent my hand sliding up to the blade when stabbing, and the guard definitely accomplished that. I got the kydex sheath since I heard the leather one wasn't great. Kydex isn't my favorite material because to me it feels bulky and clunky, but that's just a personal preference. This sheath itself is well done though. The knife fits securely into the sheath and doesn't rattle at all. The leather belt loop is pretty loose so I don't expect much from that, but I was going to attach leather straps to make it a scout carry anyways. All around, I give this 4.5 out of 5 stars. I take a half point off since the handle could fit better and the sheath doesn't fit my personal preferences. Other than that I think this knife is going to stay on my side as my new personal favorite for quite some time!

I'm not even sure where to begin. This is my third purchase from Ned Foss. It only gets better with each purchase. Out of the package it is razor sharp. (USE CAUTION) I almost cut myself a couple times. I have used it for cleaning fish, worked better than my fillet knife (serious about that). I bought the Kydex sheath. The leather belt loop allows the knife to move so it's out of the way while walking and sitting. It locks very securely in the sheath without any sign of slippage. The handle is comfortable and very comfortable to hold. I have medium sized hands. Its weight is very well balanced, making it to use for cutting and chopping. I couldn't be happier with it. Looking forward to adding more Ned Foss products to my collection.

Ned Foss is an excellent brand for quality and value. This knife is just beautiful and a great addition to any collection.

Nice quality for money

Hands down the best value for a Reliable, Easy to Sharpen, comes sharp, Tough & Thick Steel, and Useful shape for both self defense & bushcrafting. Sheath is pretty nice as well. Favorite knife and I have a ton of bush craft knives. I love my Cold Steel knives and would say this steel is equivalent to the AUS 10A or 8A. But I love this shape better. If a knife can't compete with Cold Steel I won't Use it or Buy it. So, saying this is my favorite is no dull matter.

Sin duda es el mejor cuchillo que he tenido en mis manos, solo de verlo se nota la calidad. Su peso, los 6mm de grosor, se siente que puedo cortar madera con el facilmente.
