Seems to work very well at a fraction of the pool store price

Great value!
Living in Florida, I constantly battle to keep my pool clean. My pool is also located under multiple oak trees, so phosphates and contaminants are a problem.I tested this Lo-Chlor Lo-Phos Max Phosphate Remover against the liquid I usually buy from my pool store. The dosage required on the bottle is about equivalent, but the amount you get for the money is significantly better! I first tested the pool water, then cleaned my DE pool filter, then added this into the skimmer following the directions. After running for 48 hours, I tested again. Although the phosphate levels didn't drop as much as the bottle indicated they would, it was still a significant impact, so I can say this product definitely works.Overall, this is a much better value for the money than buying from my local pool store. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their pool water clean.

Hope this does the trick!
I recently had my pool water tested and found that the phosphate levels were high which is why my pool keeps turning green even though the chlorine levels are within the correct range. The pool company recommended a phosphate remover so when I saw this online, I thought I'd give it a try. I can't quite tell if it's working yet because the cold temperatures where I live inhibit the growth of algae naturally. The real test will be in the heat of the summer when nothing seems to help keep my pool clear. I will update this review if I find that the product does not work well when the weather warms up.

Powerful Phosphate Remover. The algae just falls to the bottom of the pool.
I've been using a $40 phosphate remover to add to the pool for a few days prior to adding more chlorine. I give it a few days and brush off the sides of the pool and can see the dead algae debris collect at the bottom. i usually have my pool robot vacuum this up.This $100 plus phosphate remover is a lot more powerful. I have a small to medium sized pool. I poured 2 small cups of this stuff and the next day the dead alage debris had collected at the bottom of the pool without any brushing. Even after vaccuuming, there was new debris on the bottom of the pool for almost 2 weeks. I think this was killing and loosening up the algae in the DE pool filter. I've never seen so much debris at the bottom of the pool. Maybe next time I'll have to just use one cup and see what happens. Overal great product and great value for the price listed. It's more expensive but you get what you pay for I guess.

Lo-Chlor Lo-Phos Max Phosphate Remover Pool - great stuff
I have waited for my daughter to close the pool as she is in charge of closing the above-ground pool she bought for the kids. She never closed it at the end of the summer and it accumulated leaves and lots of phosphates. I ordered this to help me clean up the pool and close it as it is now winter. I have slowly cleaned out the leaves on warm days and running the filter. Nothing I tried cleaned out the phosphate residue and the only option would be to drain the pool and power wash it. I ordered this hoping it would work and it has done a great job of breaking down the phosphates and the pool water is now much clearer. The temperature has dropped and the pool water froze. When the weather warms and the pool water unfreezes I will scrub the sides again, shock the pool, run the filter, add more water, and put the cover on. This is expensive but it works GREAT! I will order this again.

Clear water again
As fall and winter come, I have a bad habit of being lazy and ignoring the pool ... old enough to certainly know better than that, the leaves collected, and even in the cold temps, the water clouds up and the cleaning begins. This product seems comparable to the offering at Leslie's Pool ... and I try to avoid using them as much as I can because of their pricing. After cleaning, getting chemicals back in line, adding this to the pool and a couple of days with the filter running, it's clear and clean again. Now just adding the maintenance amount on a weekly basis. Good product and nice to have a new option.

Works great!
The product arrived on time and in excellent condition—no leakage at all. As a long-time Florida pool owner, I’ve learned the importance of testing for phosphates regularly. After rain or during heavy pollen seasons, I always have to remove phosphates to prevent cloudy water. Phosphates significantly reduce chlorine’s effectiveness in the pool. While this product is expensive, it’s competitively priced, and I appreciate the convenience of the gallon size. Keeping a clear pool comes at a cost, but this product makes it worth it. Two thumbs up!
