I was puzzling over how to remove the 3mm thick steel fixings attached with large spot welds to my 2mm thick fire bowl, to use it as a water feature. This tool worked very well indeed - fast, accurate and with no sign of blunting. It was a bit hard to see how if I had gone deep enough, so I used a hammer to hit the fitting sideways to see if it would detach. If not, a bit more drilling was needed. That way I avoided drilling into the fire bowl itself. So, I've only used one of the 12 cutting surfaces provided to cut through 9 spot welds in 3mm thick steel. Not bad ! The slowest part of the job was using an angle grinder to remove the 9 remaining disks of metal where the spot welds were without damaging the bowl. Strongly recommended.

Just used to drill out about 15 spot welds to dismantle an old tractor dashboard. Worked great usingone of the annular cutters. No sign of it losing sharpness by the end of the job so I envisage the whole set lasting me ages. You need to make a good punch mark in the spot weld to locate the spring loaded pin to keep it from walking off.

Delivered the next, i prefer to use the mini hole saw part of this set and it works really well. Would recommend

I purchased these as I needed to remove the rusted front wings I’m my son’s classic Mini. For slightly more than the price of a same size tool with just one cutter from a well known tool outlet, I was able to purchase this item with 6 double ended cutters and the extra points and drill bit.I thought they would wear out quickly and just about last until I had removed the wings and scuttle panel and then resort back to a grinder to remove the rest.But I have removed the wings, front panel and scuttle panel with just the first cutting end of the first cutter using my battery drill, and it’s still going strong.The cutter itself cuts easily through the metal leaving a clean hole on the removed panel and the spot weld itself on the other panel to simple grind back to a flush finish.In the end the job was completed a lot quicker than using a grinder on each weld. Also the grinder wouldn’t be able to deal with spot wells tight into corners without a lot of cutting excess material away first.Each spot weld has to be located and then punched with a centre punch for the guide pin to locate into to stop the cutter wandering at first.The cutting needs to be monitored though as it’s easy to cut through both pieces of metal if you’re not careful, which may or may not be desired depending on your requirements.

Do what you need them to do at a decent price. Cutters are sharp and seem to be hard wearing. Used more expensive engineering products and been far less satisfied.

Easy to use and does the job perfectly. Have to clean up the stud left behind with an angle grinder, but using this makes the job much easier.

Ahora mismo lo uso bastante y solo he gastado una corona por ambos lados, aproximadamente unos 100 puntos, asique mejor de lo esperado

Muy práctico, me ha servido de mucho para quitar muchos puntos de soldadura del coche, tres cuestiones a tener en cuenta primero marcar el centro del punto soldadura con una broca pequeña, así se evitará que la púa patine, segundo lubricar con aceite y limpiar con una brocha para que no se queden las virutas pegadas en su uso entre punto y punto y lo más importante una velocidad muy baja, un taladro a batería al mínimo revoluciones. A mi así me han funcionado perfectamente.
