Pump You Up
This unit is still in the box. It's an exact match to the one I have in my evaporative cooler. I got it as a backup just incase the current one gives up the ghost. You don't want to get caught in the heat of summer with a cooler you can't use and parts are nowhere to be found.

Excellent quality
This pump was easy to replace. The manufacturer included extras and the pump runs quiet. I installed it in a MCP 44.

It didn't work.
Installed purge pump and waited a few days to see it work and it never did. pulled the cover off and plugged it into wall socket and it just hummed. It never pumped water out of cooler. I deleted the email so no option to return it.

Sadly Short Life
These only last a couple seasons in Arizona. Admittedly we have hard water, but I flush and blowdown the system, treat it, etc. But I'm lucky to get two full years out of them running 6 - 7 months per year. Seems to be bearing issues as I can disassemble, lube, and get them spinning again for a while. But look up the cost of a 1 1/4 amp slow blow type S fuse as they typically utilize in their supply and you will understand how unacceptable the lifetimes are. As I said in motor review, we used to run these things forever - service them every spring and they would go fine all season. Sad.
