The best!
My husband absolutely swears by these coals! He grills at least 3 times a week year round snow and all. Truly burn longer, hotter, and more even. Doesn't like to use anything else.

A bit Smoky at the beginning. But it's good overall
Good burning time. A bit Smoky but... We were outside so it wasn't much of a trouble

Burns much hotter than standard coal. Great for steaks and searing.

Hot coals
I like these coals for a hot, searing grille but going from $14 a bag last year to over $30 a bag this year is just a little too much inflation gouging for my taste.

Horrible burn
I don't know if this stuff was stored in the bottom of a swimming pool or not, but you can get it going like a blast furnace in a charcoal chimney, dump it into your grill (in my case, a Weber) and it peters out almost immediately. I've used it 4 times now and the grill never got above 400F--and it NEVER stayed at 400F no matter what. I'll be going back to lump charcoal.
