If you need to use hearing aid batteries these if they are the type you use are as good as any, They have a life of about 4 days, they are fiddly to fit, but by the nature of the product they are small. If that's what you need to be able to hear I think you're at the mercy of the manufacturer regarding price. If you can't afford it you can't hear. They don't leak like bigger batteries can do and generally they do the job well some for longer than others.
