Bearded Dragons: The Essential Guide to Ownership & Care for Your Pet (Bearded Dragon Care)

very good book for the entry level of your pet care

My son got a baby bearded dragon for Christmas so we are reading this book together. This is a great book for adults, but a bit above an 8 year old's reading level and level of understanding. I have to help him with reading and understanding some of the terms like, "captivity, brumation, omnivore, etc" but he is learning a lot! I suggest reading this book first in your own, then reading it again, or an easier to understand book, with your child.

Pro: Contains a few good pointers not found in Bearded Dragon Manual, 3rd Edition.Cons: Type font entirely too large, with interspaced with blank lines of about the same.As a result, the book appears to be at least twice as thick as required, and certainly not worth the price (I'll return it). I ordered it following the suggestion of a blogger's list of suggested Bearded Dragon books. Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy. This is why Amazon is the first place I go to when seeking a purchase.

This is a very good book! I bought this for myself because I’m interested in getting a bearded dragon! I learned a lot from this book, and enjoyed reading it. But, if I were the author, I would change the part of the book that talked about the health of bearded dragons by adding more pictures to show what a sick bearded dragon looks like. Otherwise I liked the book very much.

My 11 yr old loved reading this book! He read it again and again. Thank you!

I actually learned things I didn't know about my beardie

Bought this because my twelve-year-old daughter is getting a bearded dragon. Lots of good and helpful information. Appreciated the chart of what beardies can and cannot eat and the care schedules. I gave it four stars because the book is not very visually appealing inside. There are no pictures, except a couple of black and white stock photos at the beginning of chapters. Any kind of pictures would have made it more interesting, especially to kids.

My son and I didn't really like this book, so much so we want to return it. There are no pictures which is always a good guide for kids and very boring format. Don't bother buying it.

I read this book from front to back and got all the information i needed to become a bearded dragon owner it was very helpful and informative. I now own a beared dragon and all is good i still use the book for handy hint and tips it has about caring for them...

Very poorly edited and printed. To the point of being difficult to read, especially the suitable food chart, that's horrendous! How could you possibly put that out to publish with those ridiculous mistakes? I bought this book for my daughter to learn about her new pet. Very dissapointed, might as well print page after page of text about beardies for free off the internet. That's all this book is. With the added disappointment of bad spelling mistakes and grammar, and a food chart that is nigh on impossible to read.
