Honestly one of the best series that I've ever read
Honestly one of the best series that I've ever read. Any material by Yoshihiro Togashi is always amazing. If you're coming over from the anime you must know that there is a slight difference on certain scenes. The fighting is also a lot lighter, & not at all drawn out. Although the plots storyline is interesting enough to cover that. If you're solely wanting to read it for just the fights then you're out of luck. Although I'd still highly recommend this series to anyone who shows interest.

Comments mostly on Viz's handling
Yu Yu Hakusho is great, and I knew beforehand about Togashi's decline in art during the later portion of the series due to his health and complications with Shonen Jump. However, this two star mini-review is for Viz's handling of the volume including censorship as well as poor translation. Yusuke is a delinquent and smokes even though he's underage. We've seen this in previous volumes. However, in one pivotal scene, where Yusuke and Keiko talk about Yusuke leaving for a long time, Keiko in a fit of frustration takes a cigarette from Yusuke and tries smoking but finds it terrible. With this volume, Viz replaces a cigarette with a stick of Pocky. It ruins the scene as well as it doesn't even make sense in context. It's an absolutely beautiful scene where we see that even though Keiko tries to play it cool with her words about how she's okay with Yusuke leaving, she actually can't stand it. In addition, several conversations are truncated, which makes it feel like characters are grunting out words instead of speaking. This is drastically different from the great quality in the first few volumes. This book deserved better treatment.

Bye, Sensui Arc. You are Cool.
Definitely a great book. The finale of the Chapter Black saga ends as good as I could have hoped, and while this does lead into the weakest saga (due to Togashi's boredom with the series), it still has so many wonderful story elements that make me read this book over and over again.
