American National Firearms 1911 Government Model 1-piece, full length stainless steel recoil guide rod with spring plug for Colt 1911 Government series pistols and most full size 1911 clones. High quality aluminum bushing wrench is included. Replaces original guide rod in Colt 1911 Government models and most 1911 clones (5" barrel) with no modification required. Rod and plug are intentionally manufactured with very close tolerances for high-performance / competition use and must be kept clean and oiled to function properly. These are not the loose, sloppy parts that other manufacturers make for the masses. These parts are made with a high degree of precision, and recreational shooters may want to loosen the fit by using some fine sandpaper and / or metal pollish. Competitors may want to pollish the rod and plug hole for butter-smooth operation. Minor fitting may be required in some applications. May not fit some Kimber or other clones not built to true 1911 specifications.
