Excellent quality, really impressed, great value for the money spent
I'm really impressed and pleased with this monitor and I'm very glad that I decided to go for this one. I chose this one because of a Youtube video comparing the best budget monitors. I expected there to maybe be one or two dead pixels as I'm buying tech from online and it has to be shipped to me, I understand that when things are physically delivered they can break during the process and I'm cool with that, it's not the end of the world. But actually, there are no dead pixels. The screen is absolutely perfect, not a single defect. I was worried that there'd be some backlight bleed due to other reviewer's images and claims, but thankfully there is no backlight bleeding. Again, the screen is perfect. I did a ghosting test and it ran perfectly smooth, there was no ghosting. The screen refresh rate is 160 Hz just like it was specified to have in the listing. Many people think that monitors are exactly as advertised straight out of the box, but they're not. It doesn't mean the screen isn't 160 Hz, it just means that you have to manually set it to 160 Hz. I suspect that other reviewers here have not done that judging by their complaints. To do that, go to the 'system' section in windows, select 'display', scroll down and then select 'advanced display settings', scroll down and then select 'refresh rate' and set it to the correct one. Mine was set to 140 Hz, so I changed it to 160 Hz. As for the sound, it's definitely not great but it's pretty okay. It's definitely usable on it's own and it doesn't sound bad, per say, but if you're trying to make a great setup, definitely buy a separate pair of speakers. It's got a neat little joystick on the back so you can change the display's settings way easier, too. Which is definitely an appreciated benefit. [ Picture provided is of it with a white fullscreen to demonstrate how there are no dead pixels and then of a black fullscreen to demonstrate how there is no backlight bleed. ]

Great feature set at a great price
I bought this product to go with an RTX 3080 graphics card and to replace the aging repurposed 1080p/60Hz TV I was using as a screen for my PS4, Switch, and PC. The jump in quality has been immense; I can't believe I went so long just using TVs as screens, because the colour depth on this is a breath of fresh air. Other users mention some backlight bleed, and though it is present in my bottom-right corner to a degree, I do not find it distracting. It features FreeSync, but because I record things which Freesync is known to mess with, I do not use it. At its price point, offering this level of picture quality with both a higher resolution (albeit not 4K, which is excessive for my standards) AND a 144Hz refresh rate is a steal. In addition, it has 1 displayport input and two HDMI inputs. It's really great to have a multi-input monitor that lets me hook up my two consoles and my computer at the same time. It features an 'auto-source', which will detect when an input is incoming and switch to that source automatically as long as the screen is on or on standby. This makes it really easy to switch from PC to console, provided I make my PC display exclusively on my second screen first. There are a couple downsides: for one, the provided stand takes up a lot of table space and is not particularly stable, but the monitor has a 100x100 vesa mounting screw setup at the back, and I have it mounted to the wall. The built in speakers are of pretty poor quality compared to the TV I was using prior, but as a monitor the assumption is your computer is handling the audio output solution. For use with consoles, the screen features one 3.5mm jack output; I use this to rout the screen's audio to my computer's line in port and then run my console audio to sound devices connected to my computer, including the second screen. If you want to dip your toe into framerates and resolutions above 1080/60 this is a pretty great monitor for its price. When you add in the versatility with multiple inputs, it's elevated to amazing.

works great
Just got it, so only had it a few hours. Its the 27 inch 1440p. picture quality great, 75 refresh rate, freesync, No dead pixels and no light bleed. so far so good. still have to mess with the settings to get it to my liking, will do later, but out the box its good. will keep this updated as i go. speakers are a bit crappy, but they work and are ok, i dont mind that tho, its to be expected. 2x hdmi 1x dp 1x audio jack. awsome picture. photos dont do it justice. P.S Just a wee update on monitor. Its been working perfectly. Once calibrated, its really great for the price. Only thing ive noticed is there is a bit of back-light bleed, down mostly in bottom right hand corner, where controls are, but its not to bad, and certainly not bad enough to send back, only really noticeable in dark games, But ive had quite a lot of monitors, and they all have a bit of back-light bleed, I had a monitor before, three times the price and the bleed was terrible, so a bit is to be expected. but thats normal. still a great monitor. Only wish i had waited till this black Friday sale, dam! could have saved myself 60 quid, still worth it tho.

This monitor is a bargain for sure, NO RGB, just pure performance.
This monitor is in all honesty a great monitor, for the price it's at it's amazing. PROS, - IPS panel has great colours. - 144Hz is butter smooth for gaming or general use. - 1440p provides a great resolution for films and gaming across a 27" monitor. - 1ms response times great. - My one didn't have any defects really... CONS - There is a little bit of light bleed from the IPS panel, if this bother you, dont buy one. It happens to IPS panels and it's not that noticable, really. - The monitor stand is a bit wobbly, however replacing the stand with a different mount using the vesa mounts on the back is straight forward.

Beautiful colours, sharp picture, IPS glow
I was initially disappointed, I could only get a resolution of 1080p from my (5 year old) laptop and my fears on ordering this about backlight bleed from the other reviewers seemed to have come true. Indeed with the lights off and with a black screen this monitor is a bright array of colours, about twice as bright as my laptop screen which I assume is TN. There is also a bright green dead pixel. However after some hacking about I've now got the full 1440p resolution and in all my use cases this screen is great. I don't sit in the dark with a black screen and I've not yet spotted the dead pixel in use. As a test I loaded up "Gravity" which is a film with dark scenes of space and actually the picture was fantastic (probably because there's lots of contrast, scenes in films with dark low contrast would come across very poorly). Concerning the backlight bleed: on closer inspection I can't find any! However that's because what I thought was blacklight bleed is actually IPS glow. A quick explanation, IPS glow depends on the angle you're viewing the screen at. It's less a manufacturing defect and more a consistent problem with the technology. It tends to be uniform across the screen, you see it in the corners because that's where the angle is furthest away from 90 degrees. Backlight bleed is localised to areas of the screen. I don't have enough experience to tell whether the IPS glow on this screen is any worse than other screens, I suspect that it is. Pros: * really great colours with good viewing angles and a really sharp picture * the speakers are bad for music, but fine for speech, a "pro" because of my low expectations * small bezels, a wee bit "gamer-y", but doesn't look like it was styled exclusively for teenagers * vesa mount Cons: * IPS glow at slight viewing angles * stand not very adjustable * energy efficiency on the box is a "B", was advertised as higher on the Amazon page.

Very good monitor with lots of connectors.
I was looking for a monitor with speakers that delivered 1440p resolution. After looking at quite a lot of options I settled on this one. I have to say I'm happy with my decision. Good points: Crisp images, lots of options to customise the settings to your liking, 2 HDMI, 1 Display Port and 1 Headphone socket. Not so good points: No USB slots (though I knew that before I bought but it wouldve been great if they had atleast one USB slot to power a Chromecast for example). The buttons for this monitor are on the back and while a lot of people moan about it, they are built to be intuitive to use, so after using them a few times, you really can use them without having to see them. Also you can setup 2 buttons as shortcuts to any setting you want making it really easy to get to your favourite settings easily. I have to say here that while this is a gaming monitor I haven't used it for gaming but for normal office use. But I have connected a Chromecast to it and am able to watch the news (thanks to the speakers) on it when I need to. I have also watched movies on Netflix , but then I connect headphones to get the best sound experience. Understandably the speakers are purely functional. If like me you can looking for a good monitor that can also work like a telly then get this one along with a Bluetooth transmitter device. That way when you finish work, you can cast your favourite movie to the monitor and then use your bluetooth headset to watch the movie with amazing sound!!!

Great monitor especially for the price
Been using the monitor for over a week now and so far i love it. when buying i was worried about the backlight bleed from reading other reviews, it is there but it does not bother me one bit. only scenarios where it is noticeable is if you're sitting in a pitch black room with brightness cracked up starting at a blank black screen. which doesn't happen too often. but in normal use hasn't bothered me at all. the colors are really good as it is a ips, it gets quite bright also. With the Overdrive mode on there is some trailing behind things i found myself truing on overdrive only in competitive games but honestly dont think those extra few ms make a difference. The stand isn't very good it only has tilt option and is quite wobbly but that can be fixed with cheap vesa mount. Over all great monitor for the price. would definitely recommend

Great monitor, no issues for me.
Having just upgraded from a decent but old 27" 1080P IPS panel, this was definitely worth the money. First time using a high refresh panel and at 144hz, it's a game changer (pun intended). The panel itself seems perfect, not a single dead or stuck pixel. The backlight bleed does exist, but perfectly even and noticeably better than my previous monitor. IPS panels just don't do inky blacks at this price range, so some bleed is normal. Will need to tweak the colour profiles to get to my liking, but even out the box the picture is good with good vibrancy. I was hesitant to buy this due to some of the negative reviews and Acer's notoriously bad QC, but it was the only IPS 1440p 144hz monitor in my price range. Glad I went with it.
