When a power surge destroyed my computer this SSD adapter made it possible to recover my Outlook PST file which has decades of emails in it. Works like a charm!

I like this because it's solid and feels well-made. I had previously bought a different one with two slots, but it was like a piece of aluminum with a wire stuck in it. I never used it. This one has a power-on button. It's terrific and excellent to use. The speed of the videos and files that are transferred is fine. I recommend it. Enjoy.

This card reader made recovering and formatting my SSD card a breeze

The device it self is worth every penny. It is well built milled Aluminum and is exactly the spec that is reported. When using the device. Make sure it is powered off (blue LED on the top off) when you connect your SSD. It has to initialize the PCI device before it can convert the signal to USB, which means it is NOT hot swap. There is a power button on the back for that purpose.The cable is a bit short though. An oversight on my part as I purchased this dock with the intention to use it on the desktop. Cable is way too short for that. The cable is the USB 3.2 Spec though. So, if you don't have an extra that is longer, it will get the job done. it also has a detachable USB Type-A adapter on the neck of the cable if you need Type-A on the source device.

I purchased this so that I could image the Raspberry Pi SSD kit without jumping through hoops (and because I'll inevitably need to recover data from an M.2 drive in the future). I inserted the RasPi SSD, connected the device to my Windows 11 PC via USB-C, and used Raspberry Pi Imager to put the OS on the SSD. It took seconds to transfer the OS data.

Great product! I used it with Disc Genius software to migrate from a small NVME to a large one. Worked great!
