Very nice but very sharp
Very sharp which is great but be careful because of the way they are curved the edges are exposed and it’s very easy to cut yourself. I’m a full time groomer and I’m so glad I found these scissors and I use them everyday but there definitely was a learning curve. You can’t just pull the hair out of them when it’s caught because you’ll cut yourself. If you slide your fingers across the top edge you’ll cut yourself. And they do jam together sometimes and you want to get them apart but be careful cuz you will cut yourself. I know I sound like a broken record but I learned this the hard way! But I love using them and how they work on the dog and smoothing out the edges around the face and head. You can use them on the legs too and on doodles and poodles. Now that I know what to do I don’t cut my finger tips nearly as much so I just wanted to warn people.

Pleasantly surprised!
I’m a Dog Groomer and while I should invest in quality tools the idea of spending more than $100 bucks on shears kills me. Especially since I bought expensive shears before and did not care for them. I wanted to try out curved shears since In typically the one in my salon do a lot of scissor work and sculpting and felt like they would help up my game. I decided on these and I was honestly surprised at how much I like them. They’re labeled as thinners but honestly they cut more like chunkers imo. Not as drastic but still a lot more than most thinners do. You have to really work on blending with them or they’ll leave a lot of choppiness so when I first used them I wasnt sure about them but I’d figured out how to work them so they blend perfectly and now I’m just sad I didn’t get them sooner lolThe dog in the pictures I completely hand scissored and 90% of it was with these curved shears. I only used different sears to shape the ears, feet and legs.

Better quality than my $70 shears
I was a little skeptical with the price of these, but I am pleasantly surprised. These shears are very light and easy to handle. I really like the handles and that one of them is a little "crooked". They do not strain my hand, and they are easy to flip around while I am grooming without using my other hand. I recently had my other shears professionally sharpened, and they are nowhere near as sharp as these are. They cut like butter, and on the first cut! I am beyond pleased with these and will be looking at other shears from this seller. Fantastic shear for the price. I love them!

PurpleBird Shears, Groomer review.
Came in a nice box unlike other shears that come in an odd leather carrier. These cut through hair like butter, it's really nice. Even through wet hair it still cuts good. Only issue I had was when they were catching when I went to use them a third time.I ask a few other groomers to try them and so far positive reviews from everybody.I'll keep using them for another month or so and write another review on if they are still good.

Started sticking in less than two weeks
Needing to fix or put more money into brand new thinners isn’t so great. The rubber ringlets were dried out and thin, came off as I was taking the thinners out of the packaging. Tried to sort of rehydrate them and still nada. The thinners could also be sharper but that’s something that can be fixed, however starting to stick after not even two weeks of use is kind of crazy for almost $70, so yeah.

Good product so far!
I am a groomer (self taught) and have been working with poodle hair specifically for around 10 years plus.So far I've only used this product for one grooming session but it sure made a difference this time around! I was previously working with a small pair of thinning shears that was included in a 3 scissor grooming kit that I also bought off of Amazon...I found that previous pair that I was using to be dull and rather small for larger golden doodle clients that I have been working with lately. These are great for de-bulking and shaping large areas of the face where a beard is typically left longer such as that found on a "teddy bear "cut.I do recommend that you lubricate it before use with clipper oil or clipper lubricating spray as it helps for smoother cutting action. They are nice and sharp as expected of a good product. It is easier to cut yourself with the quicker cutting motion that is applied to the use of any thinning shears.. I managed to cut myself not long after taking the before and after photo 😆.Thus far it has made my job specifically with shaping the hair on the face A LOT easier! The photos depict before and after use of the thinning shears on the dogs face and my finger after I cut it. (Didn't have a band-aid so I had to get creative lol)

Shocked at the quality for this price!
Ive spent double the amount of a pair of thinning shears before. They were fraile and caught twice to where I couldnt close them. These are thicker, sturdier and more hardy and I havent had an issue. Im in love!!

Love
I’m a professional dog groomer and love these so much! I don’t really consider it a typical chunker, but it’s definitely more than a regular thinning shear. Makes finishing work on fluffier breeds a breeze!

These are a nice size very sharp work. Well I’m very happy with them and will probably buy another pair of shoes. I like them.

Pretty good
They work well and I use them everyday as a professional groomer. The only negative is, they feel pretty cheap. And I haven't had them sharpened yet, so hopefully they survive it. That being said, they work exactly as they should.
