Normal/Good Quality
I was worried that the quality would be poor but it looks and feels no different than any other tap I own. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another size if needed. It arrived in time for what I needed to get done. I also like the fact that it came with a hard plastic case for storage.

A little costly for 1 tap, but paying for convenience. Worked well (in 'soft' aluminum extrusion).
Used to tap some profile end holes in "8020.net" branded T-slot aluminum extrusion, size 4080 (light). The pre-existing extrusion central pair of holes were already the perfect size for this dia tap.Didn't even bother with tapping oil, just swiped it with a touch of lithium grease I happened to have nearby, slotted it into the squirrely little two-screw-style T-grip 'handle' and went to town. 4 flutes helped the swarf loosen right out, only had to back up a half turn about every 3-4 turns to start, then about every other once getting pretty deep, so it didn't feel like it was binding up too much.Bolts threaded right in nicely afterward, so obviously it worked. Not giving it a rating for durability though because I obviously didn't "challenge" it, but appears to be in fine shape for more of the same when I need to next time.

Decently ground tap
I got two taps and a die from Drill America on this order. The taps are good/excellent but the hex die was a weird comically tiny nonstandard size (an M8x1.0 with a bizarre tiny 11/16" hex width almost like you'd expect with the micro and jeweler's tiny round dies or something). This M8 tap isn't as nice as the 4-48 I also received, but it's ok. Only has three threads chamfered so it'll be a tad harder to start and start straight, but if you were to grind the conical point down it would be something closer to a bottoming tap. Teeth are ok, not stellar...square flats are kinda rough ground. This particular one is flat ground on the top and I was hoping it might have a taper or a dimple, so I'll return it and get something different. The 4-48 tap is great, darn close to US hss taps I normally use. I think this series from DA is worth buying and looks decent enough for most uses, certainly better than normal carbon taps (can't comment on tolerance/fit for this one). Some added photo angles and accurate photos (per model) from the seller would be nice.
