About 5 months ago i died my hair a dark black i really want to lighten it to a light brown or a carmel ? will this work on black hair color

I had dyed my hair black for years. I used color oops and it lifted out the black to a light orange. Don't panic you can dye a brown color right after you let it dry and it should be fine. It did for me.

Can this be used after color remover or prep, before using a hilift color, to get lighter results, or would it be too damaging?

my hair is naturally med brown, dyed dark brown, but i want to lighten it to med brown again + cover gray. should i use this or color prep instead?

Color oops first to remove as much color before deciding to lighten with a bleach.

Would it lift hair enough to dye it gray afterwards ?

I'm going to say depending on your hair color. I'm blonde as.is but I get dark roots. It lifted my roots yes but keep in mind it also made them very brassy and yellow.(and no purple shampoo didn't help) However what may not work for me may work for you or what you are hoping to achieve, Maybe try the color oops remover( I do happen to like it been a life saver a few times) and maybe then try dyeing it gray. I'm no professional by any means.
