Tired of that weathered, stained, gray look on your outdoor teak wood? Make the teak golden, bright and beautiful again with TotalBoat Teak Cleaner. It’s ideal for cleaning and brightening teak and other fine woods on your boat or outdoor teakwood furniture in just two simple steps. TotalBoat Teak Cleaner is a complete teak cleaning solution for your boat's teak - use it on teak decks, handrails, toe rails and trim exposed to the sun and other harsh elements. This marine-grade teak brightener and cleaner also does an excellent job restoring your dull gray outdoor teak wood furniture and bringing out the beauty of the wood grain. It’s ideal for teak patio tables and chairs, Adirondack chairs, benches, outdoor teak shower seats, and more. Why does teak turn dull and gray in the first place? When teak is exposed to the elements without a finish, or has been oiled or stained, the surface turns a dingy gray over time. This two-part system thoroughly cleans teak wood, removing dirt, fish blood, fuel and other stains, salt, growth, teak oil, and undoes general neglect without tedious sanding. Part A removes sealers, graying, and weathering. Part B neutralizes Part A and brightens the wood, preparing it for oiling or sealing. Do not leave Part A on caulking or seams longer than 5 minutes without applying Part B to neutralize. Then simply let the wood dry for a day or two after you rinse off Part B with fresh water, and the teak is ready for teak sealer, teak oil or varnish. In addition to teakwood, TotalBoat Teak Cleaner can also be used to restore ipe and other hardwoods. Compare to other teak cleaners, including Te-Ka, Golden Teak Care, SEMCO Teak Cleaner, Star Brite Teak Cleaner, Boatlife Teak Brite, Teak Decking Systems, Snappy Teak Cleaner, Losso, Wessex, and Quick II Teak Cleaner. This does work
I used this cleaner solution set on some Amazonia Eucalyptus patio furniture. After a year of sitting outside in the elements this solution set in combination with Danish Teak Sealer by the same company does wonders. The solutions don't have much of a smell when used outside. Definitely follow instructions and wear some gloves as if you get this on your skin you will eventually feel it burn. I used both the scotch brite pad and a nylon brush. The brush was easier and both seem to provide the same results. After cleaning apply the Danish Teak Sealer and you will have nearly brand new furniture again.

Worked on my very old and neglected teak.
Used on my 1983 Pearson for exterior teak, I also used TotalBoat Spar Varnish and it looks beautiful. The cleaner is sodium hydroxide and the neutralizer is acid, so it does eat away at the old wood - but so would sanding. The Varnish sealer and Varnish dries quickly - I did 1 coat sealer and 1 coat varnish the first day, and 1 coat varnish the second day. Victory declared - on to next project.

Works like magic!
Would highly recommend! See photo for pic of table after cleaning, ( You must use the Cleaner AND the Brightner - they work together in two distinct steps to create the magic!) and after applying teak oil. My husband couldn't believe how great the furniture cleaned up and looked. The photo of the chair and ottoman shows results after cleaning and one coat of teak oil. I will add a few more coats of oil as the furniture was quite dried out and very thirsty! THe process is easy to do - just follow the directions. Worth every penny.

Powerful Product
It is important to follow the directions, since part A is sodium hypochlorite and part B is phosphoric acid. When they say wear rubber gloves they mean it. It does remove embedded mildew in seconds with very little effort. You also want to choose your worksite so the runoff doesn't kill your lawn or flowers and keep your hose running to address any spills and to immediately wash it off once neutralized. But this is old school stuff that really works to remove mildew like nothing else I have ever used.
