I bought this for my husband, and he just loves it. Nice, smooth close shaving. I just wish the soap dish had a lid so you didn't have to constantly have to wash and dry it out.

Now this set is well worth the money, you get 5 very high quality items. This set comes with the Merkur 178 or 34c razor which is the best razor I have used. I love the short thick handle and it's a two piece versus 3 piece or butterfly. I prefer the two piece design because it is easy to change blades yet less chance of defects like in a butterfly.The stand is excellent and looks very well plated, fits the razor and brush perfectly. Looks classy on the bathroom counter.The brush while not silvertip is very good for what it is. A little stiff on face at first but softens up to just right for me. The chrome is beautiful and makes it look very expensive versus other plain handle brushes.The bowl is also very nice looking, flawless and shiny. It fits the included soap if you want leave it in there or you can use just to bowl lather. I think the size is just right, not to big or small and fits in the hand comfortably.I received the bay rum col conk soap with my set and I love it. It has a mild yet noticeable bay rum scent and I just love it. I have not used many shaving soaps but col conk soap is better than Williams mug and van der hagen. My go to soap will now be the col conk soaps even though I will have no choice but to order online.Overall I can almost definitely say that this is the best shaving set you can buy. It is well worth the money and you save some money with the set versus buying everything separately. Oh, and the set looks so classy on the bathroom counter that I find myself just staring at it and feeling proud at my shaving set up.

Nice set... only it's not the whole set. Opened the box and realized that the Razor/Brush Stand was not there. Contacted Amazon and they offered 10% partial refund which wouldn't even cover the costs of ordering the missing Razor/Brush Stand. Very disappointed that someone could forget to put 5 pieces in a box for a 5 piece shaving set. YOU HAD ONE JOB!

I didn't ever think shaving would actually be enjoyable... now I look forward to it. Best shave ever- very glad I got this. Pick up a variety pack of blades and see what works best.

Great products. The Colonel Conks was lime scented. Builds a good larger but not the best. The brush is very fine and the razor is a merkur 34c.
